NOT AN EFFECIENT COMPETENT LAWYER

Was referred to Mr. Rocco by a friend. Spent a lot of money but found him arrogant and a " know it all " who he did not deliver what he claimed he could do. Said he knew all the Judges and would get me all we asked. He was late, not returning calls, billed for everything and did poorly in court. VERY... DISAPPOINTED. Hired a younger attorney to fix the mess.

Ironclad prenup

I was in a situation with second marriage that was not going to proceed without a signed pre-nup. I was referred to James Rocco and it was the best advice I've ever gotten in my life. I had moved to another state and the way it was written was so well it was enforceable in this other state. In fact, ...my out-of-state lawyer wanted to know exactly who wrote it because it was so good. That was my honest experience and it was the best money I have ever spent. It's saved my financial life from a parasitic second wife who tried everything in the book to invalidate it.

WISH I CHECKED HIM OUT BEFORE WASTING TONS OF MONEY

Looking back after a few years, and how my case was mishandled, I just grew more angry. I WISH I had these " reviews" before succumbing to this lawyers slick talking, high billing, practice. He was boastful and degrading of other attorney's, and even would claim he had " connections" and could " win ..." my case when there is really no winning. I just wanted a peaceful solution, but Rocco made it all about money and winning everything that never happened. It actually was a poor outcome that I have had to re-do with a better lawyer years later. He is borderline unethical and not too honest, especially in his words and billing. As a female, I often felt uncomfortable around him and was glad I was done with him. Life goes on, but I would caution anyone from using this lawyer. DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND INTERVIEW SEVERAL LAWYERS !

Cheat of an attorney

Jim Rocco is the most unprofessional attorney I have ever had. I was referred to him due to his low hourly rate and boy do you get what you pay for. Mr. Rocco only wanted my money and didn’t want to put the work in. He continually put himself before myself, his clients needs and failed to update m...e on countless custody issues I was dealing with, thus causing me a very poor outcome and limited custody with my children. I was never able to reach him and he never answers emails. He had a lot of lip service and promises in the beginning such as I know everyone at the courthouse, sign on with me and I guarantee you get what you want, all of which all ended up being lies. I wish I read these reviews before hiring him as they are spot on. Do not trust Jim Rocco and go to a real attorney.

Pompous, Arrogant Attorney

Jim Rocco on the surface would appear to be a smooth attorney who can get the job done. I had enough of his antics after 1 week and switched to a reputable attorney. Not only did Mr. Rocco slander numerous other attorney's, some of who I actually met with, but he thinks he's the best attorney in Ph...iladelphia. I hired Mr. Rocco to do my divorce and during our consultation Mr. Rocco said no problem, he had it in the bag and he will get me everything I wanted. I know not to believe everything I hear but Mr. Rocco at first appears to be a real nice guy. That's simply not true. Maybe he was trying to show off because I'm a female. He's facade faded in that 1 week and I saw his true colors when after he spoke to opposing counsel he called me and said I would have to give him another $10,000 on top of the $10,000 retainer I just have him 6 days prior. He assured me that the $10,000 would last at least two months. Just lie after lie. What I found to be most alarming was how Mr. Rocco prided himself on knowing everyone and he could move mountains (his words not mine). Upon his request for another $10,000 my radar went up and red flags were raised, I requested my retainer back as he literally did no work other than one call and one email to opposing counsel then found a new attorney. I'm still waiting for Mr. Rocco to send me my retainer as its been awhile now and he continues coming up with excuses as to why he has not sent it yet. PLEASE do your homework before giving an attorney a retainer fee, most are good, but then there are unethical attorney's such as Mr. Rocco.
