Jim Rocco on the surface would appear to be a smooth attorney who can get the job done. I had enough of his antics after 1 week and switched to a reputable attorney. Not only did Mr. Rocco slander numerous other attorney's, some of who I actually met with, but he thinks he's the best attorney in Ph...iladelphia. I hired Mr. Rocco to do my divorce and during our consultation Mr. Rocco said no problem, he had it in the bag and he will get me everything I wanted. I know not to believe everything I hear but Mr. Rocco at first appears to be a real nice guy. That's simply not true. Maybe he was trying to show off because I'm a female. He's facade faded in that 1 week and I saw his true colors when after he spoke to opposing counsel he called me and said I would have to give him another $10,000 on top of the $10,000 retainer I just have him 6 days prior. He assured me that the $10,000 would last at least two months. Just lie after lie. What I found to be most alarming was how Mr. Rocco prided himself on knowing everyone and he could move mountains (his words not mine). Upon his request for another $10,000 my radar went up and red flags were raised, I requested my retainer back as he literally did no work other than one call and one email to opposing counsel then found a new attorney. I'm still waiting for Mr. Rocco to send me my retainer as its been awhile now and he continues coming up with excuses as to why he has not sent it yet. PLEASE do your homework before giving an attorney a retainer fee, most are good, but then there are unethical attorney's such as Mr. Rocco.

I only wish I read the reviews on Jim Rocco before I wasted my time meeting with him. I went in for a free consultation and Jim Rocco’s I arrogance on how he knows everyone and use his relationships with Judge’s to get what his clients want was a red flag for me as no good attorney every makes promi...ses. He even bragged about opposing parties whose lives he ruined, not caring about the best interest of the children. Made me sick to think that individuals actually hire this so called “attorney” to represent them in Family Court. BEWARE…..Jim Rocco is unethical and only cares about his billable hours and money. Find a real attorney, there are plenty on this website, just not this one.

After almost 2 years when Mr Rocco said my case was finished well, I found out that many things were done totally wrong. Especially money and distribution as he did not do adequate accounting. I paid tons of money for his services, only to find out most was poorly done. Had to re-do and re-file sever...al issues and pay again. My opinion? Mr Rocco is careless and a bit cavalier with cases, as he makes broad promises he failed to keep. NOT RECOMMENDED

Dear Jim, While all of this is fresh in my mind I wanted to stop and send you this email. I see your testimonial link is in the works. For over 5 years my son has been fighting for f...ull custody of my grandson, and my grandson is only 6 years old. We had hired another lawyer to begin the process, and I believe today that should we have stayed with our original lawyer, we would not have had the outcome that we received yesterday. I also believe that if we had begun the process with Jim Rocco it would not have taken 5 years for us to resolve this very important matter. My grandson was born outside of a marriage commitment. And then we met Jim Rocco, and with my first experience of meeting Jim, I knew that I would respect and admire him both as a man and as a professional. He and his office were very prompt and efficient and always available. My son is very heavily tattooed and can appear intimidating or be looked upon as being someone totally different from what his true self is. I know that he has faced judgment and persecution from others because of his outward appearance, but that was never the case with Jim. He took the time to listen to my son’s story, and formulate his own opinion that despite my sons outward appearance he truly loved my grandson and wanted to do everything in his power to gain full custody of him. I believe whole heartedly that Jim made it HIS mission to do everything in HIS power to make sure that happened. After 1 ½ years in Attorney Rocco’s care we finally received a decision from the courts yesterday. It was all we had hoped for. My son was given full custody, meaning my grandson is safe, and his future is more stable. My son has recently become engaged to a beautiful woman. He has achieved full custody of his son. I have never been so proud of my son and my heart has never felt more full. Now we can finally create a family with security, safety, stability and true love.
