When I first hired Attorney Masington, we got off to a rough start, I was going through a lot and under immense stress (aren't we all when we hire attorneys?). Regardless, once we got our grove we never looked back. It's worth noting that he and his staff were able to manage the dynamics of my very ...Jewish mother hovering over everything and being in the mix! He has come through for me on several occasions. I have kept him on retainer because my daughters father is unpredictable and consistently makes terrible decisions. Each time I have needed him to intervene he has done so expeditiously. Nick and his office staff are incredibly responsive and he will typically respond to an email BEFORE his staff does. Having experience with another local family law attorney who does none of these things makes me very grateful for Attorney Masington and his team.

My custody case finally came to a close in December of 2016 after over a year of pure ridiculousness. I hired Nick Massington as my original lawyer and have ZERO regrets in doing so. He was always straight with me ; even if I didn't want to hear it. What he told me would happen at each hearing...did.... He kept me calm and informed and walked me through what would happen next. Even though I chose to take another route in representation it had nothing to do with Nick or his professionalism or abilities (I wanted someone I knew could intimidate opposing counsel and foreign from our local area). In the end, all worked out and just as was predicted...I have my children, safe and secure and if Nick hadn't began this process for me putting me on the right path I'm not sure that would have happened. My ex-spouse’s attorney proved to have quite a reputation for being difficult and he didn’t disappoint. An unscrupulous attorney and a client with a desire to make your life miserable can make a stressful situation even worse. Nick proved to be honest, fair and skillful at handling any legal matter thrown our way. Those matters ranged from dishonesty on opposing counsel’s part, to hidden marital assets, my ex-spouse pretending to have a disability so as to reduce his child support and not have to split up any marital assets, to an array of constantly filed motions that had no factual basis. Nick consistently educated me on family law, what was happening at every step and what my best, fastest and least expensive option was with each motion, which gave me a great deal of comfort. Through all the proceedings, Nick proved to be an attorney I could trust to have my best interests at the forefront. An attorney who allowed me to keep my dignity in all the matters I faced and reminding me when I became emotional under the stress, to focus on the law and the issues at hand. He clearly understood the law at a higher level than opposing counsel. This is what gave us the edge to finalize things with fairness versus deception. I was fortunate to find an attorney so knowledgeable and yet still fair in every aspect. It has made this terrible ordeal much easier to put behind me and move on with my life.
