When the unexpected need for an attorney presented itself, Attorney Kathryn Nonas-Hunter came highly recommended by both friends and colleagues (who had also retained her as counsel at one time or another) as well as other professionals in the local legal industry. Attorney Nonas- Hunter is extremely... knowledgeable when it comes to family law. In addition, she was always easy for me to get a hold of, keeping me constantly updated on my case, my rights and my options along the way. She was professional, courteous, punctual, not to mention she was extremely calming for me prior to walking into the courtroom. It didn’t take long for me to see why she was so highly recommended. Not only did I feel like she worked very hard for me, I was also reassured by the respect it’s clear other professionals in her field have for her.. in and out of the courtroom.

Kathryn was nearly impossible to communicate with, she was an hour late for my appt, and she left me hanging until the morning of my court date to try and negotiate with opposing counsel. She completely failed to inform me that a court date had been rescheduled, then refused to take responsibility, a...s if it were beyond her control. Yet somehow my ex had been notified in a timely manner by his attorney. Kathryn was in such a hurry at my support conference that she advised me to settle for less support than the court officer offered. She was always in a hurry and more concerned about her overbooked schedule than properly advocating for her client. The Judge issued an order which Kathryn assured me would offer the protection I needed. However, later when I needed that order, the police would not enforce it. Kathryn then acted like she had never assured me of its protection to begin with.
