I come to Calhoon & Associates with over 29 years experience as an attorney representing injured workers in Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability cases. I am rated AV® Preeminent ™ Peer Review Rated, which is the highest ethical and competency rating rarely given by Martindale-Hubbell, the 140 year old lawyer rating service and was selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer®.
For four years, I served as the Director of the Pennsylvania Bureau of Workers’ Compensation where I supervised the entire workers’ compensation system in Pennsylvania, including hiring judges, supervising insurance companies and self-insured employers, and making the litigation process quicker.
In my spare time, I enjoy kayaking and fishing on the beautiful Susquehanna River with my two sons. I am an active musician currently playing mandolin with the Harrisburg Mandolin Ensemble and mandolin with the Horst Brothers, a Lancaster County Bluegrass Gospel group. I also play the mandolin banjo in the annual New Year's Day Mummers Parade in Philadelphia with the Greater Overbrook String Band.
The Central Pennsylvania Business Journal named me as one of the " Best Lawyers 2014" in the area of Claimants' Workers Compensation Practice

Great lawyer
Tom picked up my case when another lawyer left and I couldn't be happier that he did. It took two years for my case to be settled and it was a stressful two years but Tom kept me informed and was always able to answer any questions I had.
