Philip M. Masorti

I hired Phil to represent a relative for a theft case. Phil told me that the potential result could be disastrous since this was not the first time. Indeed, the judge said during the trial it could have resulted in years in jail. Phil was able to get a much reduced sentence of time served and two ...years probation. That's what I call results and what the family feels is a much more appropriate sentence. Not only that but I felt he was genuinely concerned for the welfare of his client in the future. Really, he is all that you want for an attorney. He was on top of things and he kept his client informed about what was going on, and he worked within our budget as well.

I was charged with two misdemeanors. After speaking to several lawyers, I was advised to settle for ARD courses and take a year probation along with community service. I was irate about this because I know the cop was wrong. I know I did not deserve what they wanted me to settle for. Right before I d...ecided to settle, I spoke to Phil. He listened to my story. He believed what I had to say and decided he wanted to represent me in court. We went through the details and options for the case. He genuinely wanted to help me get these two charges dismissed. Masorti even drove to where I had the encounter with the officer and went through everything in detail. We then got back to his office and he came up with a strategic plan. Long story short we went to court and he made the cop and the prosecutor look like rookies. He controlled the entire hearing and got me acquitted of the offenses. Charges were dropped with no ARD, community service, or probation. I was so impressed he was able to do this in the preliminary trial. Now let me tell you about the person he is. From the moment I spoke to Phil I realized that this wasn’t going to be cheap. I tried to scrap together money to pay him by the time we meet but I came up short. I called Phil and told him I don’t think I can afford him. He could hear the worry and stress in my voice. He says to me “man you’re court date is soon and I don’t want to just drop you and let you face this by yourself. Just bring what you have and we’ll deal with the rest later”. I headed out to state college and meet up with Masorti for the first time. After he interviewed me and we went through things in detail, I emptied my pockets and gave him all that I had. I then told him, I spent $50 round trip just to get my finger print and picture taken. I also let him know that I had to probably take a cab to the court house and back. He asked if I had any money to do that I said no. Then he asked me if I had any money to eat while I was out there and I said no. He then asked me if I had money to catch a bus back to NY and I replied no. He took about $100 of money I paided him and gave it back to me to take care of myself while I was out there. I was shocked, because I already came up short. He then drove me back home from his office and even picked me up for my hearing. He actually cared about me and wanted to make sure I was taken care of. He didn’t know me from a hole in the wall but he did whatever was necessary to make sure I was good and stress free. In the court room this man is a beast. He controls the situation and dominates with so much joy and a excitement. He loves what he does and you can feel it. The man will go to war for you and won’t stop until you get what you want. He is hands down the best lawyer and even a better person. One of the most down to earth people you’ll ever meet. All in all, if u have a criminal case he is definitely your defense lawyer.

I have thought long and hard on what to write about Philip Masorti and how his help changed my life. I had a second offense and I was terrified. I felt true despair over my circumstances and I thought my life would never be really good again. With a record that would be a cinder block around my an...kles preventing me from living a productive life. I put my trust in Philip. I cried all over him and shared my fear. He gave me clear inside to my circumstances. He refused to let me be afraid. He answered every question, replied to every text, took every phone call. He was never anything but professional and most of all to me he was kind. He worked endless on my behalf and was able to get me ARD. He gave me my life back and the ability to earn a clean record. Philip Masorti is the real deal. A real asset to the law and to humanity. Thank you doesn’t quite cover it.
