A few years ago we hired her to help us and this was after the divorce was final and complete. She fed us with a bunch of great strategies that she would put in place to help, all ended up being untrue, whereby we ended up losing and not a single thing was changed or implemented as we had discussed ...in our meetings. She didn't win a single thing in court after we paid $10k, there was not even a reasonable negotiation put forth. When we reached out after to find out what happened and how this could happen after paying $10k, she refused to talk and said she would need another retainer. Lady...you just took $10k and couldn't bother to adhere to your oath of office. I think an explanation was the very least you could have offered. But nope...pour some salt in that wound...on move on to the next victim! I hope it isn't you. If the attorney doesn't listen, is short with you, doesn't give you the time, ignores questions...dishonest sums it up!

Used Jean and her firm for both my divorce and subsequent dispute over the selling of a marital home. The agreement they negotiated left me a bad position once the marital house was to be sold and left me spending approximately $35 thousand dollars on them, as they held the funds at their firm in es...crow. As the court forced small amounts funds release, they insisted the vast majority of the funds be given to them for more fees. She and Kate were late to court every single time. It even took two months get a simple copy of a document which they didn't both to upload to their sharefile. Calls/emails were not returned timely and they were both often rude. I seriously think they forgot I was paying them. Jean agreed to be the individual to go to court with me, it was never communicated to me or discussed with me that Kate would be going to court instead. Unprofessional. During one meeting with Kate she was at her desk with her knees up on her desk so the she could be comfortable. Very passive aggressive by. Two years later, I fired the firm and settled the case myself within hours. Requested the balance to be released immediately and received a very nasty email. No attempt to make the experience right. I suggest you skip this firm.

Jean represented me during my divorce proceedings for a little over a year until an agreement was made. We were able to come to an agreement and settle out of court and mostly stay out of the court house. I felt represented very well and have the utmost confidence in Jean's legal prowess. Jean and h...er law office were always very easy to contact, I had no trouble getting ahold of someone if I had questions or updates for them. Jean and all her staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had as great an experience as one could have while going through the divorce process. Jean is an excellent lawyer and I would recommend her to anyone needing representation during divorce or custody battles.

In my opinion- WORST LAWYER POSSIBLE, I paid Jean and her team over $12,000 to do nothing more then shuffle papers. I do not feel she was efficient. Her office is in a run down building and the front door being locked all the time should be a good indication of what kind of service you will get. I fe...el she delayed everything possible and did not perform a divorce in a timely manner, I ended up having to switch attorneys because of how UNSATISFIED I was. Great communication at $70 (minimum) a phone call, great at not having the info you need and says she will call you back and start the clock all over again. PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE RETAINING HER. Check more reviews and think about how many GREAT reviews she has but many seem to be dated around the same time ?seems odd if you ask me? I would rather stay married to a person I hate then have to use Jean again.
