Leslie H. Tayne

Leslie H. Tayne of Melville, NY has more than a decade worth of experience practicing individual consumer financial debt related services. Tayne launched the New York-based law firm, The Law Offices of Leslie H. Tayne, P.C. in 2000. The firm delivers comprehensive strategic consulting and support services with practice specialties in debt resolution of consumer unsecured debts through negotiation and settlement with large National Banks, credit unions, collection agencies and multiple creditor legal representatives. Additional specializations include consumer bankruptcy alternatives and avoidance. The Law Offices of Leslie H. Tayne, P.C. has settled debts in upwards of millions of dollars and capably handles client funds maintained in attorney trust over hundreds of thousands of dollars at one time.

Prior to the launch of her practice, Tayne worked at a national debt settlement, consolidation and debt reduction company where she acted as the Chief In-house Counsel. While there, she formulated and structured the company from a small business to a nationally recognized company with thousands of clients. She also drafted, reviewed and negotiated numerous types of contracts, reviewed and reformed company policies, created training manuals for lay personnel, maintained corporate compliance matters, negotiated commercial leases, handled corporate matters, counseled individual consumers on bankruptcy issues and debtor/creditor law, engaged in negotiation of debt settlements with National Banks and legal collection firms. Tayne also managed client funds in excess of millions of dollars. Prior to that Tayne worked at the Nassau County Legal Aid Society as a Staff Attorney where her duties included representing parole violators at all stages of the revocation process.  

Tayne received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center where she was a member of the Moot Court Board and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Affairs from The State University of New York at Albany. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1997 and Federal Bar for the Eastern District of New York in 1998.
