I am very disappointed how i was treated with this attorney. Staff are also impolite. I find out through the Traffic Violation Bureau that my case was postponed i had to call to find out what is going on. I never received a phone call. The only phone i received that i have to pay for my ticket. I hir...ed this lawyer to defend me because i am innocent of the charges. I had pictures Terri Kalker stated i didn't need it. I paid the attorney to represent me she stated having great experience with traffic cases, now an extra money to pay the ticket plus points on my license. This lawyer is not a good lawyer. Best visit a lawyer in person. Or better yet, take your own chances of winning a case. Traffic courts understand a layperson, all they want is the facts of the case nothing else. If you have pictures best thing.

I never thought my speeding summons would be completely dismissed, points reduced maybe, but yes the summons was completely dismissed. It took one year with a postponement, but to my delight it was completely dismissed. I saved about $4000.00 dollars in insurance premiums over the next four (4) years.... Thats right - my insurance would have gone up one thousand dollars for the next four (4) years.

I got a ticket back in 2008 in the Bronx for going 78 in a 50..28 MPH over and 6 points I was facing. I postponed my ticket the first two times myself, and once the court itself did it for "administrative reasons", then I realized I needed a lawyer to keep the process going. I found her through a c...oworker and called up, gave all my info over the phone and that's when the process started. The first few court dates I had, they postponed themselves for me. Unfortunately, they never ever called me about these times to tell me I was postponed, but I checked myself online. They also did not tell me that I had to pay a $40 bond one time, so I got a letter in the mail from the DMV telling me I had to pay it or else I'd get suspended. She postponed my case I believe 3 times and then tried it, I wasn't called to be notified of the result. I called myself to be told it was dismissed, and to get my refund for the bond. She got my ticket thrown out, no points or anything and a very reasonable price tag for her services. If it wasn't for the good price and the ticket being thrown out, my ratings for the communication would probably have been worse. But, even though I was barely contacted, I'd still recommend because she won my case.

I hired Terri to take care of two speeding tickets for my 19 year old son. If convicted he would have lost his license (one was in Brooklyn and one was upstate NY). Besides, my insurance would have gone through the roof!! She managed to get BOTH tickets dismissed, saved 12 points, no fine, and his... record is clean! I couldn't ask for anything better than that!!!

Hired this lawyer on a referral from a NYC borough based car service company. Rest assure, her fee is to be paid 1st & up front, yet there's "never a guarantee" of acquittal as she/her staff clearly states. Ms. Kalker is very difficult to request and speak with for Q & A and/or updates. And forget ca...lling her office... her secretary (Shirley) is extremely difficult to deal with... rude, very argumentative and getting information from her regarding your case is like trying to get the devil to sell air conditioners poolside! Adjournments up the ying yang! It's gotta be the right judge, the correct day, the right wind speed... and God forbid your court appearance(s) fall in, on or around a Jewish holiday... Ms. Kalker makes many trips out of the country for these religious observances and uses substitute "stand-in" attorneys who don't know vehicle traffic laws from a cracker jack surprise toy. 1st ticket was reduced 2 points, yet still guilty. 2nd ticket, she went out of area for a religious observance and this unknown attorney who took her place the day of my trial, shook my hand and was about as useful as a sheet of used toilet paper. Guilty with no reductions. Thanks for nothing, Mr. Clueless substitute attorney. As a result, she suggested setting up a "pay-off" involving her and/or someone from NYC who "oversees" these tickets. She was a stones throw away from having the Brooklyn DA question her and her business practices after I made formal inquiry through the DA regarding this "pay-off." Final (3rd) ticket she gets lucky because the officer "knew" her and gave her (me) a "break." A break!?! What about all the vehicle traffic laws and other textbook law material she's supposed to be using in lieu of "knowing someone?" Bottom line? After using several attorneys over the years for various necessities, Ms. Kalker is nothing to write home about, nor is (in my opinion) trustworthy enough for my referral.
