I retained the Acocella Law Group to support me in avoiding foreclosure and obtaining a mortgage modification after attempting unsuccessfully to wok with my mortgage lender for three months. I am an experienced Project Manager and Systems Engineer and know how to negotiate, facilitate teams and perf...orm expert research, but my mortgage lender was still unwilling to negotiate with me or "get the ball rolling" after a three-way conference call with HUD. It was at this point, that I began working with Acocella Law Group. My first point of contact, and the Service Representative and lead for the entire process for my mortgage modification was Howard. It took me three weeks to make a decision, with no pressure or hype on the part of Acocella Staff. Once the Acocella Underwriting, Legal and Customer Service staff began working with me, the threatening phone calls stopped, the lines of communication were solidified with my mortgage lender, and challenges were addressed. The Acocella Legal Staff also provided me with local legal counsel (at no extra charge), when needed for one court appearance, because I was not within a convenient distance from the Acocella New York office. I am in the mother of a 12-year old and a long-time engineer and professional. I lost my job as an engineer and project manager due to a reduction-in-force at my long-time employer. A decision to not relocate in Washington D.C. - I wanted to keep my daughter at home in a stable environment, caused my income to be drastically reduced. I am now on the second trial mortgage payment and am confident that with Acocella's help, I will be approved for a permanent mortgage modification, at the current rate of $300 lower than my previous payment. I would also like to add that not only was the Acocella staff knowledgeable, efficient, and professional, but each of them was also reassuring and warm - something that was very welcome and helpful during such trying times. I will be able to keep my home for my daughter and myself!

They always got back to us in a very prompt manner and answered any questions we had at any given time during the process of them completing our loan modific...ation. They were able to get our bank who holds our mortgage to lower our payments so far on a trial basis and hopefully for the duration of our loan.
