Nothing short of an guarding Angel!

I am not sure how I could express my gratitude... Tsui Yee is more than an uncommon immigration attorney -- she is one of a kind human being. Her dedication and her diligence will not be matched by anyone. For more than a decade prior I was (mis)represented by a (so-called) premier INS Attorney.... I had the fortune to meet Tsui Yee and she immediately took charge of my case, which had been mishandled by my prior attorney to the point that it was stuck in process at the INS office. Tsui filed for FOIA; got a copy of my case (which I never received from my previous attorney); and spent time to explain all of the implications. Once she understood the gravity of the situation she took the time to try to find any resolution, even going personally to the USCIS Offices asking for a status update. Due to the confidential nature of my (mis)filed case, she could not get an answer at first but pressed on until I finally received my appointment. She took the time, went with me to the scheduled appointment, and asked the officer to change the nature of my application since there were extenuating circumstances. In the end I received my Green Card and I owe it all to her. If you need help, look no further! Thank you for getting me out of a desperate situation!

At Our House, We Call Tsui "Wonder Woman"

Tsui is the kind of lawyer that I imagine young, idealistic students dream of becoming: passionate, driven, tenacious, and fair. I recommend her to everyone I know dealing with an immigration case, be it a marriage petition or an artist visa, and several friends have already met and worked with her.... It is my hope that everyone in need of an immigration attorney finds one who will fight for them the way that Tsui has done for us. My husband was a childhood arrival and his family's deportation order had been appealed and mishandled several times by various other lawyers. We were married in the fall of 2011 and paid a retainer to a different lawyer whose assistant made many careless errors that resulted in our I-130 not being filed until nearly a year later, after which we waited 17 months for our Stokes interview. That original lawyer did nothing to help hasten this, rarely even fielded our phone calls, and when we finally received notice of the interview (with less than a week before our appointment slot), that lawyer said she would be unable to prep us or to attend our meeting, but could send someone who'd never met us in her stead. She even suggested we ask to postpone. We called Tsui, and she fit us in for consultation and prep meeting within the week, bringing herself up to speed on our case, attending our interview with enthusiasm (she gushed over our wedding photos and asked us questions about our special day to put us at ease in the waiting room), and has now seen us through the entire process of having my husband's deportation order reopened and dismissed, applying for a work permit through DACA, and now a successful I-485 petition. Tsui is incredibly proactive: she has attended Infopass appointments on our behalf when wait times were long, helped each of our friends and family members with their affidavits, been the first to reach out to us when she heard anything about our case or thought of anything that might speed the process, and meticulously prepared and delivered each of our forms and motions herself. She always makes herself available to you directly when you call the office, she answers urgent emails on weekends, and all in all you just get the feeling that her clients' well-being is important to her, a quality unique to her among all the immigration lawyers we (and my husband's parents before us) have consulted or worked with. While waiting for our last green card interview, we watched many attorneys come and go. Most of them seemed harried, disheveled, cold; many of them didn't even know their clients faces, just entered the room reading names off of a sheet and waiting to be waved over. In came Tsui, beaming as she came over to us, asking about our families and work, excited to get us through this last big push. My husband hasn't had a lot of lucky breaks in life, but in that moment we knew we were the luckiest couple in the room to have Tsui representing us.

How Immigration Cases Acquire a Human Face

Someone once told me that going through the immigration required a lot of faith. The reality is, the process is just brutal. I had gone through several immigration lawyers in three different states to help me with a work petition case and then a family petition case gone wrong. Desperation is a good ...word to describe that period of confusion, information overload, distrust and low self-esteem. (Yes, you are subjected to a form of bullying and battering by well-meaning legal and para-legal beings when they dismiss your questions with no effort to explain at all). I consider myself lucky and blessed that I got connected to Atty. Tsui Yee. I would wish every lawyer specializing in immigration cases would be like her: an attorney who sees her clients as real people and not just a case no. or receipt no. or alien no. She puts depth of understanding in every meeting with her clients. She moved me over from an original I-130 (family petition) to the stressful I-360 (special petition, I was a VAWA case) and the necessary I-756 (work permit) Having a feeling of inadequacy and loss of face is very typical of clients desperate for solutions and sometimes this warps the communication process. With Atty. Tsui, you become one in exhausting all possibilities. Communicating anxiety and a desire to understand the key supporting processes and subsequent documents of proof, becomes easier. With Atty. Tsui, the complex equation of hope plus the number of days and the number of documents and requirements exchanged back and forth with a flawed labyrinth called USCIS, is simplified. With Atty Tsui, you wind up winning your green card with the feeling of genuine gratitude and solid security and the confidence to move forward. (Yes, there will be euphoria and drama for a week or two!) I am moving forward with her to secure the future of my children, too.

Tsui is a very patient, incredibly organized and assertive lawyer with tact.

I was in a deep visa immigration limbo with a pending O-1 extraordinary ability visa petition that was stuck pending with USCIS for almost 3 years. Being lost in the legal ambiguities of immigration law, Tsui was both diligent in her plan of action and bold in fighting for my case. Essentially, USCIS... finally came back with a Request for Further Evidence saying they would only give me 6 months of an O1 before having to file all over again even though I'd been the one that had waited patiently the whole time. Tsui felt strongly that we should fight back and request the entire 3 years. I'd dealt with other lawyers who didn't totally have my back (rather their interests or the easy way out) but Tsui understand where I was coming from and was committed to getting what I had hoped for- a brand new 3 year O-1 visa. Just goes to show how far you can go with the right legal counsel and perseverance. Thank you Tsui!

Simply The Best, Tsui Yee Gets The Job Done!

Worked Hard on a Difficult Case. I was referred to Tsui Yee through friends who are legal headhunters. I needed an attorney who could communicate with my husband in Mandarine, handled immigration and was not frightened of my husband's case. We were denied by two other attorneys prior to finding ...Tsui. My husband's case was difficult in that he had a deportation in the court system from an Assylum Petition he had filed through a "Middle Man" firm, thinking it was a law firm, which it was not. They have since been busted and his file was likely tagged because of that. To be clear, they did eventually send a licensed attorney to court, but the representation was inadequate at best, I would use fraudulent. This had all occurred before we met, much less married. Too make a long story short, my I-130 petition took 18 months, but was approved, several months later Tsui was able to get the deportation case dismissed and today we received a Permanent Green Card. Throughout the process, Tsui was diligent, efficient and available. It has been over a 2 year process because of the difficulties involved but the important thing is she got it done.
