I was born in Argentina, and was brough to the US as a child. My family came from Hungary, Italy, Spain, Cuba and Argentina. I went through the immigration process and felt what it was like to not belong. I also learned that this country offered lmitless possibilities, as long as you were willing to work very hard for them. This is what got me where I am, through Stuyvesant High School, UNC Chapel Hill and Georgetown Law, and what propeled me to launch my own law firm in 2004.
My goal is to help good people realize their unique versions of the American Dream, just as I have been able to do.

A trustworthy immigration lawyer
I filed for an H3 visa - a relative complicated process. Steve was knowledgeable about the visa and responded to my emails quickly. Ex client very unhappy
Please be awared of this attorney, made a mistake while filling a form and my case was denied. I wasn't aware of this until I found out by myself, lost thousands of dollars and worse of all, I lost 2 years time waiting. When I asked him to fix what he did, he wanted to charge me 2k..... He did no...
This review was based on a complete misunderstanding of the client's case. The case was a very complicated case to begin with as the employer was a closed corporation, i.e. family business, very small and with little revenue. The PERM was denied after being audited. I forewarned the client that the case would be very difficult from the beginning and diligently prepared the case, including doing the audit response for no additional charge. The case was denied. One year later we received a letter stating that the case was still open. I called to verify this and they said the letter was sent in error. Client insisted on us re-applying and that I do it for free. I let client know that the case was administratively closed and then client submitted this vehement attack. I had previously rescucitated the client's case in consular processing, then extended his H1b based on recaptured time spent out of the country, i.e. helped client on all levels. I presented a good-faith case to the best of my ability and it wasn't until the erroneously mailed letter was sent that client re-interpreted the situation as the did above. It is an inaccurate and unfair summary which is why I have decided to state the real facts here.
"Steve is extremely diligent and an excellent collaborator. I was very happy to co-counsel on a matter with him and will do so again when opportunities present themselves."
"I endorse this lawyer. Steve Maggi is an amazing immigration lawyer. I first met Steve in 2016 when he presented at an Immigration Law based C.L.E.. His presentation was flawless, and the materials provided were clear and helpful. His knowledge of Non-Immigrant Visa Law is based in his deep understanding of the law and his critical understanding in immigration procedure in general. I have referred matters to his firm, and he has been successful. I highly recommend Steve Maggi, Esq."
"I endorse Steve. He is a highly skilled immigration attorney that is well respected in the legal community."
