Domenic Romano is the Founder and Managing Partner of Romano Law PLLC, a transactional and litigation Business, Employment, Sports and Entertainment Law firm located in the Financial District of New York City. The firm provides outside legal counsel to businesses and creative professionals, athletes and stake-holders. Romano Law drafts and resolves legal disputes around agreements, The firm’s emphasis is on the long term and its approach is international.
A graduate of McGill University, Domenic Romano received a law degree from Oxford University, a LL.M. in International Business from Columbia University School of Law and an LL.B. from Dalhousie University. He is admitted to practice in New York State (1993) and in Ontario, Canada (1996).
Before starting Romano Law in 2003, he was a Corporate Attorney at Jones Day, Hahn & Hessen LLP and Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner LLP and served as in-house legal counsel at a biotech firm, Pasteur Merieux Connaught in Toronto (now Sanofi Pasteur).
Domenic is on the board of the New York chapter of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO).
He has lectured on business law issues at the New York Public Library's Science, Industry and Business Library (SIBL), the Workshop in Business Opportunities (WIBO), and the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE). In addition, he has served on the board of directors of both the American National Theatre (ANT) and STREETS International, a non-profit organization serving disadvantaged youth in underdeveloped nations.
Domenic Romano is a member of the New York City Bar Association and the Brooklyn Bar Association. He is also in the Business Law and the Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law sections of the New York State Bar Association. Domenic is the Founding Member of the Business Lawyers Group, the Managing Partners Group and the Entertainment Lawyers Group in New York City. He is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (TV Academy) and an Emmy voter.
