Domenic Romano is the Founder and Managing Partner of Romano Law PLLC, a transactional and litigation Business, Employment, Sports and Entertainment Law firm located in the Financial District of New York City. The firm provides outside legal counsel to businesses and creative professionals, athletes and stake-holders. Romano Law drafts and resolves legal disputes around agreements, The firm’s emphasis is on the long term and its approach is international.

A graduate of McGill University, Domenic Romano received a law degree from Oxford University, a LL.M. in International Business from Columbia University School of Law and an LL.B. from Dalhousie University. He is admitted to practice in New York State (1993) and in Ontario, Canada (1996).

Before starting Romano Law in 2003, he was a Corporate Attorney at Jones Day, Hahn & Hessen LLP and Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner LLP and served as in-house legal counsel at a biotech firm, Pasteur Merieux Connaught in Toronto (now Sanofi Pasteur).

Domenic is on the board of the New York chapter of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO).

He has lectured on business law issues at the New York Public Library's Science, Industry and Business Library (SIBL), the Workshop in Business Opportunities (WIBO), and the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE). In addition, he has served on the board of directors of both the American National Theatre (ANT) and STREETS International, a non-profit organization serving disadvantaged youth in underdeveloped nations.

Domenic Romano is a member of the New York City Bar Association and the Brooklyn Bar Association. He is also in the Business Law and the Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law sections of the New York State Bar Association. Domenic is the Founding Member of the Business Lawyers Group, the Managing Partners Group and the Entertainment Lawyers Group in New York City. He is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (TV Academy) and an Emmy voter.

Outstanding, Experienced and Thoughtful Legal Advice

I recently engaged Romano Law to assist in an important, sizeable contract matter where they happen to have particular expertise. As a retired lawyer myself I have high standards for legal services, and Romano Law's attorneys exceeded all my expectations. Not simply with regard to the quality and creativity of their advice, but also for the small but important things that make working with them a pleasure-- fast turnaround, good listening, willingness to work outside of "normal" hours when required by the deal tempo. And if the definition of value is outcome divided by price, Romano Law added significant value to my negotiation and documentation of the transaction. Thanks for the piece of mind

I worked with Aaron at Romano Law for a consultation regarding a noncompete and he was absolutely fantastic, walking me through the steps and giving me as much time as I needed, even after our hour was up. Competent, solid, diligent.

I wanted to quickly post about how Romano Law enabled me to sell my business. The combination of having a business broker to get potential buyers to the table, and then having a competent, reasonable, but strong firm representing my interests - allowed me to do what I thought impossible. They weren’t the first firm I chose, but they certainly were the last. Knowledgable and Trustworthy Attorney

The kindest, most considerate (and least intimidating) attorney in NYC

Domenic and his assistant are together THE kindest legal firm in the NYC area. After countless phone calls to attorneys of all different levels and statuses, I was unable to find someone who really empathized with my case and actually sounded like they cared. Most of the successful firms seem to just be interested in whether they can win your case and the resulting monetary incentive, but Domenic was kind enough to schedule a consultation with me despite my case being out of his legal field and despite the fact that he probably knew I would ultimately not be able to retain him. The time and effort he put into helping me even after our consultation was over was second to none and I truly appreciate that he went above and beyond. He was extremely considerate and treated me with the same level of attention and respect I would expect only the wealthiest of clients would get.

Trust worthy and Ethical!

Domenic got on the phone with my employers who were wrongfully terminating me for not participating in unethical/illegal activities. He clearly warned them that what they were doing was retaliation and urged me to walk away and that I had rights to pursue a lawsuit. Had I not spoken to Domenic, I would have probably accepted the little money they were offering me as a severance and had signed my rights off to sue them. Later on I found out, had I sighed the paperwork, there would be nothing I could do or go after them. I really really appreciate Domenic's advise at the time and glad I trusted him. He's one of the "good guys" and I so respect him as an attorney. Trust this guy and work with him, you'll be glad you did! Also, I know that his reputation is very important to him which says a lot.

Simply excellent law firm.

We have a unique digital marketing agency with unusual contracts and conditions. We met Romano Law at a Producers Guild of America event. After a short trial period, we put them on retainer. They have helped us tremendously with a number of challenging contractual matters. Their advice has been spot on and profitable. Contract settlement

I hired Domenic for legal representation in a professional contract negotiation. Sensible, Thoughtful, Current & Balanced In Many Disciplines
