In September, I was arrested for DWI in Evesham Township. It was the first time in my adult life that I was ever "in trouble" for anything. I am, aside from this mistake, a proud, law-abiding citizen. As a result of this lack of experience with law enforcement, I did not possess any helpful knowledge... in DWI law. I ended up refusing the breathalyzer test, and due to confusing information from the law enforcement officers who arrested me, I did not realize the seriousness of a refusal and the draconian nature of the relevant sentencing guidelines.
