Michael R Speck

A $5,000 retainer was requested to represent us in a legal business matter. Mr. Speck submitted an initial reponse to the court and attended the initial court hearing. We gave Mr. Speck an additional $7,500.00 to file a motion with the court. One week after the additional funds were secured by Mr.... Speck, we were suspicious that our case was not being handled with any sense of urgency and we fired him. We have still to see a bill for any work done and it has been 14 months since we hired him!!! Be cautious!

I had to file bankruptcy in order to keep my home. I fell on hard times and dealing with the mortgage company became impossible. As the mortgage company was trying to sell my house out from under me Mike stepped in and everything came to a halt. Mike has been professional, knowledgeable, efficient... and the most helpful thru the entire process. A 2,000 retainer was required to represent us in a foreclosure matter. We did not fight the matter just wanted to minor correspondence handled in a correct legal fashion. Nothing else was required. It has been almost a year and we have received no billing statements and no refund of the unused port...ion of our retainer. Frequent requests have yielded no response. A final response indicating illness and overwork were the reasons for the delay. This is still unresolved.
