Frances was an excellent lawyer. She represented me over and above. She took the case and worked hard on my behalf. I trusted her 100% with a case that was not easy for any other lawyer to handle in all of Hudson County. She understood the case when I came in to see her. Frances Nicotra was spot-on in her assessment of my complicated divorce situation. She took time with me that a lot of attorneys would not have. She was smart, compassionate, and knows a lot about family law in the Hudson County area. And she is reasonably priced in a field where it's hard to find... someone who is! I retained Frances 1 year ago and I have to say it was the most plesent and smooth experience I ever had. I know that is unusual especially in a divorce buy Frances treated this case with the upmost care and compassion. Frances gave my case a complete 180 that could have ended up bad. My ...wife and I were not on speaking terms and did not allow me to see my son at all. I told Frances there was no abuse and my wife was being difficult. Frances assured me that if there is no abuse involved she will file the proper motions to allow me visitation. Frances put the childs interest first before anything else. Long story short in 3 days I was allowed visitation. My wife represented herself and Frances took that into account. After visitation was settled, Frances worked her hardest to make this divorce fair for both of us. I was surprised because I heard divorce lawyers "go for blood" Frances is a humanist. My wife and I were able to settle at the behest of Frances's stipulation agreement. Our divorce took 6 months and my now x and I are civil. Frances Nicotra's Fees were very affordable and to my surprise I only spent $3,500. Frances really cares and its nice to find a lawyer who cares. Please accept this review as high recommendation.

Since I live in another state, I hired Frances at the advice of my lawyer who looked her up online. She was horrible. Like any divorce, mine was very stressful, and Frances did NOTHING to help alleviate it. She was never reachable, she didn't remember the details of my case (she kept referring to ...my daughter as my son), and failed to explain how NJ divorce law would affect my case in the long run (which I'm having issues with now). When I asked her to follow up with my ex husband's attorney on different issues, she was late or forgot to do it until I contacted her for a follow up. During one of my follow ups (remember she's hardly reachable), I expressed my irritation with her service and she started yelling at me. To her defense, she had some personal issues she was dealing with at the time, but I'm her client, not her friend. Rest assure - she will help you with your divorce case. Just don't ask questions, don't expect her to contact you unless she wants a payment, and educate yourself on NJ divorce law. Then pray you'll get a good deal. You can get better service with other divorce attorneys in NJ than what you'll get from Frances.
