Johnathan J Azar

Mr. Azar is an associate with McOmber McOmber & Luber, P.C. who practices in the firm’s Newark, New Jersey office. Mr. Azar primarily practices in the area of employment law, which includes but is not limited to matters involving discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, sexual harassment, and whistleblowing.

Mr. Azar graduated from Seton Hall University in 2019 as a member of the University Honors Program. There, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While pursuing his undergraduate studies, Mr. Azar worked as a law clerk for a personal injury firm. There, Mr. Azar learned the ins and outs of civil litigation.

Upon graduation from Seton Hall University, Mr. Azar managed a bakery, leading a team of customer service associates and decorators at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, which challenged him to operate the business successfully while ensuring staff safety and effectuating full regulatory compliance. There, Mr. Azar cemented his belief that every worker is entitled to be treated with dignity.

Intent on pursuing employment law, Mr. Azar attended Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey. While in school, Mr. Azar rigorously pursued his studies and sharpened his legal writing and research skills. In addition, Mr. Azar worked as a Graduate Assistant for Seton Hall University School of Law’s Summer Institute for Pre-Legal Studies. As a Graduate Assistant, Mr. Azar spent his summers mentoring aspiring law students sponsored by New Jersey’s Educational Opportunity Fund. Mr. Azar instructed in contract law, oral advocacy, and other substantive legal topics. Mr. Azar also joined Seton Hall University School of Law’s Real Estate Law Society.

During his second year of law school, Mr. Azar joined McOmber McOmber & Luber, P.C. as a law clerk in the firm’s Red Bank office. As a law clerk, Mr. Azar bolstered his legal skills through hands-on interaction with clients and substantive assignments.

Mr. Azar graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2023. Mr. Azar is awaiting admission to the New Jersey Bar.
