They misrepresent their expertise and experience
My experience was terrible. They messed up a complex trust matter when I told Mr. Janay Max Roseman was not qualified to handle the case he said he would be the lead. He was not in 8 months they gave me less than 3 hrs of their time face to face and they would take constant phone calls. They thought ...

Does not add any value for real estate contracts
Barry accepted a real estate purchase contract, but had very little knowledge to perform the work. He was unable to explain the clauses, what they meant and if we needed to negotiate any changes. I wasn't sure if Barry read the contract as he had no comments or edits to the contracts, while I had o...

Traffic ticket
I was in the state of New York for work and received a traffic ticket during my stay. I was referred to Attorney Barry Janay, and he reviewed my case, informed me of everything I needed to do on my end, he stayed in communication with me the entire time of handling the case, and successfully won a no...

Unprofessional
We hired Mr. Janay for our inc. documents. As a lawyer, Mr. Janay didn't even sign an agreement with us detailing the details of what kind of documents/services we will receive with the $2000 fee that we were asked to pay upfront. Then we received a template that we did most of work to track oursel...
Since this person brought up the amount charged it's only fair to defend it by indicating the level of service they received... - Employee Agreements / Independent Contractor Agreements including Offer letters and Confidentiality for both. - Stock Option Agreement - Corporate Board Resolutions to issue shares, adopt by-laws and appoint a President and Treasurer The above documents were sent over in DRAFT form and it was understood that we would go through them and discuss whether the specifics were all understood and acceptable prior to cleaning up the documents. This client perhaps did not understand the difference between a DRAFT and a final work product. Strikingly this client did not understand some basic tenets of labor law (i.e. unwillingness to pay wages to workers) and when explained that this would violate the Fair Labor Standards Act. If explaining labor law to this client was difficult, explaining issues of corporate law was next to impossible. Last, the agreed upon fee was drastically reduced over the course of 2 hours of initial consultations done at no charge during which the client begged and pleaded for further discounts of the fees. These client's got far above what they paid for.
"Barry is an excellent lawyer in every aspect. He truly cares about his clients and their family’s well-being, he is committed to protect them both now and into the future, and he provides them the ultimate support throughout the process."
"Barry provides wisdom, thoughtful advice, and an easily likable personality that makes it easy to know you've chosen the right lawyer. Especially in the area of probate, his keen intelligence are matched by a warm and sympathetic character ideally suited to assist with such an important legal matter."
