also known as Moish Hammerman
Marvin Hammerman is a litigation attorney and the managing partner / founder of Hammerman Rosen LLP. He has a background in civil litigation and insurance defense, and leveraged his experience defending insurance companies into representing individuals and families. He now represents victims of personal injury and consumer fraud, in addition to general civil litigation, criminal defense and speeding and traffic ticket defense. Marvin is also a professional civil and family law mediator, with a background in cognitive psychology and mediation, and has a successful track record of resolving consumer disputes as a volunteer civil mediator with the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General. Mr. Hammerman is highly committed to assisting individuals, families, and small businesses with resolving their legal problems, with a particular focus on avoiding costly litigation by employing alternate dispute resolution techniques and settlement negotiation.
As a former Associate of the insurance defense law firm, Dwyer Connell & Lisbona, Marvin was mentored by highly-regarded New Jersey trial lawyers handling different aspects of civil, criminal and family litigation. After four (4) years with the firm, Marvin founded his own practice, Hammerman Rosen LLP, with a colleague from Rutgers Newark School of Law, Matthew J. Rosen, Esq. Together they serve as a "concierge" law practice giving clients personal attention, counsel and service while maintaining an appreciation for financial considerations.
The inspiration for Hammerman Rosen LLP came in part from Marvin's father, Louis Hammerman MD, a respected Morris County primary care physician, who provides concierge medical treatment to generations of families. Marvin strives to be a pillar of the community, just as his father, and to serve as a "primary care attorney", a go-to attorney for when clients have any type of legal questions, or legal matters. Marvin can help in deciphering your legal claims and remedies, and help assist you in resolving a variety of legal Issues efficiently, while keeping you fully advised and confident along the way. Marvin also has a strong network of colleagues to refer specialized matters to, such as workers compensation, or medical malpractice.
