Here's Why I'm Giving Mathew 5 Stars...

Matthew Rosen did a excellent job not only addressing, but resolving the matter I had. Mr. Rosen is very knowledgeable in the legal field, and provides A+ service to his clients. I think you will agree after the first initial call or consultation that Mr. Rosen is a great attorney. I had a matter that was taking forever to resolve (we are talking months, weeks of trying). It felt like dead end after dead end. When I spoke to Mr. Rosen, I went on my gut feeling to hire him, and I sleep good at night knowing I did. In less than one week, Mr. Rosen resolved my issue, case closed. This guy was like the Flash of attorneys. Here's why I would hire Mr. Rosen again: - Excellent service. He knows the legal field, great personality, and understanding. - Easy to contact. I could reach him in a timely matter, and I feel this is overlooked attribute in the legal field. - Speed. He does not wait, or hesitate on your case. Like I mentioned earlier, I hired him on Wednesday, and by Friday, my situation was coming to a close. I'm glad I was able to work with Mr. Rosen, and he is definitely my lawyer of choice. I would give him 10 stars, but Avvo only allows 5!

Great Experience

Mr. Rosen is a highly talented lawyer. He goes above and beyond what needs to be done, to get you the results that you want. In addition, it is evident that he truly cares for his clients. I was living in an apartment below very loud tenants, and when my apartment management company failed to acknowledge my case, Mr. Rosen had me in a new unit at no additional cost in less than a week after his initial call. A founding partner of Hammerman Rosen LLP, Matthew Rosen is an experienced litigator focusing his practice on Family and Matrimonial Law, Domestic Violence, and Criminal Defense. He has been named a Super Lawyer’s Rising Stars for practice in Family Law every year since 2018.

In addition to private practice, Mr. Rosen serves as a Municipal Prosecutor in Hoboken, New Jersey having been appointed in September 2020. Mr. Rosen's pro bono advocacy focuses on women's safety; he regularly provides direct representation for clients of three non-profit organizations of significant importance: the New Jersey Coalition to End Domestic Violence, Unchained-at-Last, and the Rachel Coalition. He has also volunteered at the New Jersey Superior Court’s Family Division, as an Early Settlement Panelist in Bergen County for matrimonial actions.

Mr. Rosen received his Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University and his Juris Doctor from Rutgers University – Newark, where he served in the Rutgers Federal Tax Clinic. While still in law school, Mr. Rosen twice interned for the New Jersey Superior Court - Family Division under Judges Nergaard (ret.) and DeMarzo. After graduating law school, Mr. Rosen worked for the distinguished law firm Florio, Perrucci, Steinhardt & Fader. Prior to law school, Mr. Rosen served abroad in the United States Peace Corps for two years.

Mr. Rosen is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New Jersey State Municipal Prosecutor’s Association, his local reform synagogue, the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ, and Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. He also serves on the board of his community housing association. Mr. Rosen lives in Clifton NJ with his wife and young daughter.

Wonderful lawyer

I cannot recommend Matthew Rosen enough as a divorce lawyer. He was extremely patient and explained everything to me about entire divorce process. He made sure I had reasonable expectations for my outcomes and delivered everything he promised and more. Divorce is never an easy thing to go through but Mr. Rosen was there supporting me every step of the way. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, he explains things in a way anyone can understand. He was extremely professional and always responded in a timely manner. Highly recommend anyone to use him as their family lawyer.

Great Experience

Matt is the reason that, after eighteen years of alimony, I now have a Court Order terminating alimony and declaring that all my previous obligations to my ex-wife are over. From the initial consult, I could tell that Matt knew how I could best present my case to the Court. He worked with me to get the paperwork right, effectively told my story, and fended off my wife’s lawyer’s cross motion. He also performed well at the Hearing, showing an instant positive rapport with the Judge, unlike my wife’s attorney. Eventually, to use a metaphor, the ship went exactly where he was steering, and he really helped me get through the day’s stressful events. Relying on my prior experience in NJ family court, Matt’s impact, just by being in the case, was well worth his fee. Thank you, Mr. Rosen! As good an experience as this could have been, and I’ll be back if I need a lawyer.

The focus is in finding solutions

Adoption case

I can’t thank Matthew for the adoption for my daughter. My husband has raised her since she was 4 months and we thought it would be smooth sailing adoption. Unfortunately , it was not and it was a difficult adoption due to something within our end. Matthew spent nearly almost two years working so hard to get this through and he sure did! ( and he could have charged me extra for the complications but he never did;Also Bergen County is the hardest adoption process versus other county’s ) I cried tears of joy hearing the judge say my husband is officially her father!!! Thank you Matthew! You’re an amazing attorney and not only an AMAZING attorney and AMAZING being! Thank you for your patience. Shelby his assistant was amazing and thorough! They were on top of everything and cc’d d me on every email. Let me know by step by step. Never missed any deadlines. If you are in the same situation!
