Robin Cotler received her B.A. from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. She received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she was Associate Editor of the school’s Journal of Law and Commerce. She has been practicing law in Connecticut since 1986 and in New York since 1990. Having resided in Florida for several years; she was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2007. Robin is admitted to the US District Courts of New York and Connecticut. She returned to Connecticut to resume her practice of law at her office in downtown Stamford, Connecticut, Robin has a strong commitment to the practice of Family Law and was appointed as a Law Guardian, representing children in the Court’s of New York. She is certified to represent children in Connecticut as a Guardian ad Litem and as an Attorney for the minor child. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Fairfield County Bar Association and the Florida State Bar Association

Practice areas
Divorces, both uncontested and contested make up the majority of my practice. I help clients get through simple divorces, marked by negotiated agreements. I represent clients whose divorces need to be aggressively negotiated, and litigated in Family Court. Court. Complex divorces with issues of high net income, pensions, valuation of businesses, child custody and parenting or visitation issues are resolved through the use of experts, as necessary.
