In 2008, I first worked with Mark on an unfortunate DUI case. There were no accidents or injuries, but I was underage and registered a high BAC. Through the course of a few months, he managed to have the judge and prosecutor to agree to expunge the charge completely from my record at the price of a s...uspended license for half a year, community service and a drinking and driving related program. I thought then, as I do now, that was a fair deal. It's great to be able to say "No" to prior convictions in job interviews. 8 years later, I summoned his help again for accruing too many infractions, from speeding tickets, to failure to drive right, to not having insurance and registration (a Stamford officer, a particularly shade police force in this county, lied about the third one). By DMV rules I would have lost my license for at least 6 months, but Mark managed to nolle each of the tickets that put me over the limit, restoring my license 3 weeks into my sentence. From the start Mark Sherman exceeded my expectations and found a really smart way of having my case dismissed. I am a soccer mom from Greenwich but found myself facing a felony and two misdemeanor charges for what resulted from a verbal dispute with my boyfriend. They arrested us both and took us to the station where they dropped the charges against my boyfriend but put a $25000 bond on me took a mug shot, fingerprinted me and booked me. When they finally gave me a phone and a phone book I called Mark Sherman. It was New Year's Eve as I've said but Mark answered immediately. I had never met him nor spoken to him but he dropped everything he was doing to come bail me out and get things straightened out. He even drove me home to pick up some belongings and my car. It took some time but Mark figured out a way to get the charges dismissed which was not easy as I had been granted an AR several years earlier. Thanks to Mark today I have a clean record and did not have to pay any fines ...or worse!!! Mark handled everything with the utmost of professionalism and most importantly treated me with respect and courtesy when I felt I had been betrayed by the system.
