I work as a social worker and my place of employment recently hired Attorney DePaola to accompany me to a potentially contentious court hearing involving the appointment of a conservator for a patient I serve. Attorney DePaola conducted himself as a true professional when engaging with my colleagues ...and in meeting with my patient and her family members, who present with especially complex dynamics. He treated a difficult situation with the utmost respect and approached the work with clear compassion and sensitivity to what was at play for all those involved. Admittedly, our request for his assistance was somewhat last minute, but he worked hard to ensure that he was familiar with all pertinent information related to the case, and navigated the courtroom as if he had prepared for months leading up to the hearing. He was tactful and discreet in his questioning, again exemplifying a sensitivity that I feel is not always present in the legal field.
