Attorney Hayber is a passionate, creative and hard working advocate for employees. He has devoted his professional life to this calling and has represented employees in almost every occupation, including waiters and waitresses, automobile damage appraisers, custodians, truck drivers, teachers, assistant managers, and executive vice presidents.

He has a natural predisposition to represent the underdog. “I have always stood up for people in my life. In high school, I stood up to a coach who was bullying my teammates. I was suspended five days, but I couldn’t just sit there and let it go on without saying something.”

His clients provide inspiration as well. “One former client gave me a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King that he hung in his office cubicle during a period of harassment and retaliation. It reads, ‘Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.’ Today, these words inspire my work.”

Attorney Hayber graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and from the University of Connecticut School of Law. He is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association and the Connecticut Employment Lawyers Association. He represents employees in state and federal courts, before the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities and the Department of Labor. He and his clients have successfully advanced the legal rights of employees in such areas as gender discrimination, overtime claims, workplace harassment, disability discrimination, and more. He is well respected among other lawyers and most of his work is referred to him by other attorneys.

Very impressed
I found Attorney Hayber in a random google search in 2020, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. From a clean and professional office, to an ability to make things happen in record time, I couldn’t be more satisfied with him and his team. They get stuff done. I don’t know how else to say it. 5/5 stars 7 days a week and twice on Sunday.

Truly the BEST!
I hired Richard as my Attorney because from day one he was knowledgeable, compassionate and completely understanding to the situation I was experiencing. He was there every step of the way to answer any questions I had, and even to offer advice that helped me get through the process. The time he took to fight for me and my family was truly appreciated, I wouldn't have been able to succeed without him. Him and his office staff were extremely friendly and always responsive. If you want to fight for your rights as an employee and succeed, I highly suggest hiring Richard Hayber as your Attorney!

Very knowledgeable and trustworthy
While my situation was very unique, Attorney Hayber was able to competently advise me on appropriate steps to take. Without his expertise and determination I would have never received such a fair settlement!

A true employee rights champion!
Used him when I was being used by a company as a grunt, but was classified as exempt management. He and is team worked hard to file my claim and get it settled. Always kept me informed of what was going on in the process until case was settled.

Large Corporations/Unfair Practices
My experience was truly exceptional, Richard is extremely knowlegdable in his practice, I would have never imagined the paperwork and research involved in what I believed to be a minor issued turned into not so minor and the amount of time and patience Richard had with me and my questions throughout the process. Richard and his staff are excellent. I would recommend Richard 100%.

Ask About a Consultation Fee
Was referred by another attorney and after entering Dick's office, he constantly looked at his watch. He did not listen and kept checking his watch At the end he informed me of a $300.00 consultation fee which I was not informed of and did not pay. The other reviews on his website regarding his compassion and creativity must have been written by Attorney Bernie (his dog).
