I have just gone through a challenging time following a traumatizing, tragic auto/motorcycle accident that led to 14 months of legal proceedings, culminating in a trial at Concord District Court in October 2024. I was charged with vehicular assault as a Class A misdemeanor, which could have resulted ...in a year in jail, significant fines, and more. Ted Lothstein was recommended to me by lawyer friends of my brother who were familiar with his work. From the very beginning, Ted demonstrated a strong belief in my understanding of the accident. Over the months we worked together, which included a fatality hearing at the DMV, he was consistently responsive to my questions and concerns. His explanations were clear, and he communicated quickly and compassionately. Ted dedicated considerable time to phone calls, often including my brother, to discuss my case and help us navigate the process. Ted was clear in stating the various possible outcomes and the various timelines I could expect for receiving decisions. He provided honest assessments of the most likely results and outlined his strategy for the trial in case the judge ruled against me. His preparation for both the DMV hearings and the district court trial was thorough. He shared with me through either, or both, emails and phone conversations, all the communication he was having with the judge, prosecutor, and hearing officer. He was prepared at both the hearing and trial with his arguments and crucial evidence, including videos of the cyclist prior to the accident as well as the accident itself. Additionally, he had maps to help clarify the scene of the accident. Furthermore, he hired an exceptionally experienced accident reconstructionist and maintained communication both with him and a key witness who had provided dashcam footage. Ted invested significant time in preparing both witnesses for the DMV hearing and the trial. During the trial, I was particularly impressed by his questioning of all witnesses. He was respectful to everyone I felt. Ultimately, I was found not guilty. I highly recommend Ted for his skills, hard work, responsiveness, professionalism, communication abilities, organization, preparedness, dedication, and compassion.

Back in 2019 I was falsely accused of committing a crime. The subsequent police investigations resulted in my arrest and eventually a wrongful conviction. The criminal attorney who represented me throughout the ordeal highly recommended attorney Lothstein and his law firm to do the appeal. The trial... transcripts and all of the other required documentation were gathered and submitted, and Lothstein and Guerriero went to work. The case was accepted by the NH Supreme Court, and oral arguments were heard in the fall of 2022. I was able to attend the oral arguments, and watching attorney Lothstein in action was an absolute privilege. Attorney Lothstein had previously explained the percentages of successful appeals to me, but I left the oral arguments feeling very, very, hopeful. On March 30, 2023, I received word that the conviction was reversed and remanded back to the Superior Court where the trial was conducted. The opinion that the Supreme Court issued was a very strong, concise, and unanimous decision. It is a decision that will be cited in motions and briefs far into the future, and will hopefully help prevent future wrongful convictions due to the law created in our case. It also gave the State of New Hampshire really no choice on their next action, as evidenced by the verbiage on the Notice of Nolle Prosequi that we received from the Superior Court: “Given Supreme Court Order of reverse and remand, the State is not pursuing this charge.” These results were not achieved by accident. The dedication given to this case by attorney Lothstein and his entire legal staff was incredible. From day one I was treated as a person as opposed to just a client. The level of comfort that I felt from the first day we spoke was as high as it could have possibly been, and it remained that way until the day the ruling was announced. The victory that we celebrated in the following days was an extremely hard, well fought, and justly deserved one that has been instrumental in helping me “recover” from a nightmare that continued for only several weeks shy of four very long years. If anyone reading this review has any doubt about who I would recommend to someone in need of an appellate attorney (or any other practice areas they specialize in), you should try reading this review again from the beginning. I know I have said it many times, but once again- attorney Lothstein, Melanie, and everyone else- Thank you again for all that you have done.

So in 2016 I was charged with simple assault after knowingly assaulting my daughters boyfriend on camera inside dunkin doughnuts.I did so because he had been assaulting her for a while and that day I got a call from a family friend who her as well as two others witnessed and made police statements sa...ying they saw him assaulting her yet again behind dunkins.As any good parent would do I flew down there to defend her.I made no excuses for what I did and debated weather or not to even hire a lawyer ,after all I was caught on camera but ultimately decided to do so only because I know how unjust the justice system can be so I thought it was probably in my best interest despite the fact that I figured there was little to nothing a layer could do for me besides make sure I was treated reasonably fairly.Well long story short due to Teds determination,strategic planning and having no problem or reservations in stepping on the prosecutions and town police prosecutors toes he was able to plea it down to a violation accompanied with a fine I had to pay.What a victory in my eyes!I know two wrongs dont make a right and it could be debated if I did the right thing or not but at the end of the day I do realize despite my feelings of he deserved it I do realize it was illegal.Ted and his paralegal Melanie are both very interested and compassionate people who work very hard for there clients best interest. In March of 2014 my life was about to change forever. I had been charged with a Class A Felony for embezzlement. I was scared, devastated and did not know where to turn. I researched on the internet to find most suitable DUI attorney for my case. I spoke to couple of them, but none of the impressed me more than Ted Lothstein with his knowledge and professionalism. He is one of the few if not the only one that didn’t see me only as “business opportunity” and way to ma...ke extra money. He even offered to me what no other attorney offered which was to only charge me half of his fee if we make a plea deal and not end up going to the trail. All other attorney’s asked for full fee payment regardless of if we end up with trial or not. After our initial discussion we both concluded it will be tough case to fight given what we knew about my case and making a deal with prosecution was the best option. I asked Ted what he thought if I did this on my own and plead guilty in exchange for minimum sentence and he agreed that I should be able to do this on my own. Almost every other attorney have told me that was not smart idea. I hope I never ever will need this kind of service from Ted or any other attorney, but for those of you who might need please make sure you contact Ted Lothestein.
