also known as Chrissy
Licensed in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, Attorney Hanisco's practice focuses on building legally sound families, through Adoption and Assisted Reproductive Technology Law (ART law). With 1 in 6 couples experiencing fertility issues, thousands are turning to assisted reproductive technology to build their families. Chrissy utilizes her legal experience and decades of negotiation skills to help her clients achieve their dream of being parents.
Chrissy can assist with all the legal aspects of gestational surrogacy, gamete donation, embryo donation, embryo disposition and parentage orders. She represents intended parents, as well as egg and sperm donors and surrogates (gestational carriers). Due to the contractual nature of ART law Chrissy loves the ability to work with colleagues and clients from around the globe!
Chrissy's adoption practice includes representing Adoptive Parents and Birth Mothers, as well as same-sex couples who may need the non-biological parent to adopt their child.
Chrissy's background includes both civil and criminal litigation. She prosecuted abuse and neglect cases in the Worcester (MA) Juvenile court, spent several years representing children and adults with disabilities in all areas of civil litigation, and for over 11 years as a member of the New Hampshire Public Defender, the state’s largest law firm, she successfully represented indigent defendants and juveniles.
At the NH Public Defender Chrissy handled thousands of cases in both Merrimack and Hillsborough Counties. She is practical in her approach, a skilled negotiator and is never afraid to proceed to trial when desired by her client. Chrissy achieves the best outcome for her clients.

Thank you for the nice review Angelina! It was a pleasure working with you. Just so anyone else reading is aware, I am licensed in New Hampshire AND Massachusetts! ART law often does cross state borders too, so I do make sure to stay informed of the laws in all states.

Attorney Hanisco was simply amazing through my entire ordeal. No matter how small or how big my questions were she always took the time to make sure that I totally understood her answers. I never felt that if I said to her I don't understand she would be upset having to explain it all over again. ...

"Chrissy is someone who cares about her clients and is willing to help other attorney’s do a more effective job with theirs. Just out of law school, I got a probation client who was in trouble. When I reached out for information on the local probation system and the people I had to deal with, Chrissy, not knowing me from Joe the Plumber (who I would also like to have as a client), responded to me with invaluable insight as she had worked with these people. In spite of prison almost looking inevitable several times, my client remained in the community and continues rehabilitation. Chrissy’s insights and experience played no small part."
"Christine is a great lawyer. I had the pleasure of working with her at the public defenders office. She takes great care with her cases, is very thorough and does not back down from a challenge. Because of that, her clients receive excellent representation."
"Attorney Hanisco and I were opposing counsel on a number of cases when we were both relatively new, so I've known her for over a decade. She has always zealously advocated for her clients, and often looked for creative solutions to seemingly impossible situations. She is prompt, knowledgeable, and very personable. Negotiations were always courteous, even when we reached impasses. I have referred people to her in private practice and will continue to do so!"
"Chrissy and I worked on a matter together at the public defender in 2016. Recently, I consulted with her on an adoption matter. She is a very efficient and effective advocate for her clients. What sets Chrissy apart from other attorneys is her mastery of the law combined with her responsiveness. Chrissy is a very client-centered lawyer and I recommend her."
"Christine provides thoughtful and accurate legal advice to her clients. She is passionate about criminal defense and aggressively defends her clients on a daily basis."
"I worked with Chrissy at the NH Public Defenders office and she was the go to person in our office on changes to DWI and motor vehicle laws. She is also very knowledgeable about search and seizure cases and has successfully litigated numerous motions to suppress evidence."
