Nobody goes through a divorce and says, "it was no big deal." It's a fairly traumatic experience and as such makes a person vulnerable perhaps to the point of exploitation. I know people whose divorces were dragged out and their fees became exorbitant. One might even question the motives of the lawye...rs... But this was never the case with Chris. In fact, he endorsed my communicating directly with my ex when it seemed we had reached an impasse and it hastened the negotiations tremendously. Instead of a postponement and more communications between our lawyers which could increase our fees, we found resolution in a 10 minute conversation...
