HIGHLY RECOMMEND - thank you!

If I can give higher than 5 stars on this review - I absolutely would! Attorney Christopher Lefebvre and his office went above and beyond to assist on delicate matter involving a debt collection suit. Sometimes a person’s formative years can catch up on them later in life unexpectedly, which was the... situation I had involving a credit card owed many years prior that closed. It has now reared its ugly head in the form of a suit for an amount away above the credit limit. I couldn’t believe this was happening as I understood this debt was “charged off” years prior and did not think I could be sued now for such an incorrect amount. I did what most would and researched relentlessly on how to make suit “go away” and next steps needed to handle matter – which was to timely file an Answer. Next thing – I get notice that default judgment entered by the court due to an incorrect assertion by the plaintiff that I “failed to answer, plead or otherwise defend”. I was scared, nervous and confused on why/how default judgement could enter after timely filing Answer and without opportunity to be heard. Hearing the terms “default judgement” and “garnishment” or “levy” – your mind immediately takes you to dark place and your overcome by fear/anxiety of the consequences this can have on your financial wellbeing. Entry of default judgement accelerated matter tenfold, and I immediately contacted attorneys to see who help me and how best to proceed. Although I contacted many law offices, I actually spoke with few attorneys that were either aloof, unhelpful, or more concerned with a monetary agreement in place before hearing the facts further. All those I spoke with just assumed when they heard “debt collection suit” and “default judgment” that I failed to timely respond. However, my matter was different and that was NOT the case. I did what I had to do procedurally and felt default judgement entered in error – but none of the attorneys seemed to acknowledge that fact or simply did not care. I felt lost and helpless after these unsuccessful conversations. Finally a glimmer of hope came in the form of a call back from Attorney Lefebvre’s office. I laid out facts leading up to the suit, steps taken so far and willingness to settle, despite inaccuracies and request to vacate default judgment. Attorney Lefebvre listened attentively, looked up case docket and immediately sprang into action. Attorney Lefebvre agreed that default judgement should NOT have entered. Since creditor's counsel is a party that Attorney Lefebvre was very familiar with – he immediately contacted them on my behalf to propose settlement offer, request to vacate default judgment and dismiss the case. Attorney Lefebvre truly listened without judgment and reviewed case then without hesitation assisted by reaching out to other side. He asked for no compensation since he felt it was “crystal clear” default judgment should NOT have entered. Entering the legal world as a pro se litigant with little to no knowledge of laws can be unnerving and intimidating. However, Attorney Lefebvre’s straight-forward/practical approach (i.e., expertise in the law) and personable touch quelled those fears. As we wait to see what the other side will do, Attorney Lefebvre has been very transparent on the next actions to be taken and very responsive as well. Although I’m hoping for a favorable outcome that ends with the other side consenting to my initial offer/request, if not – at least I have comfort knowing that Attorney Lefevrbe will be hired to fully represent my interests during the pendency of the case. I HIGHLY recommend Attorney Lefebvre to anyone needing professional assistance or guidance with handling any precarious legal matter involving financial issues/hardships. Attorney Lefebvre and his team will go above and beyond to assist and meet your needs. They're honest, efficient, and highly reputable!

Exceeded Expectations

I was referred to Chris Lefebvre for bankruptcy. My ex husband was trying to file bankruptcy and listed me as a creditor as he owed a large sum of money towards me. The issue with my ex had been going on for 8 years, with different attorney's all going with no results. I have very high expectations a...s this deals with my personal life. Chris Lefebvre had exceeded my expectations and blew me away with the information he was able to locate. Not only has he assisted me with the bankruptcy but after my ex was denied bankruptcy, he went further and ended the heartache I have had with this issue for the past 8 years. Because of him, I now have closure. Payment is coming to me and could not have asked for a better result. My life can now continue without constantly looking over my shoulder.

There is nothing worse than going through a divorce proceeding only to have your ex spouse break their financial commitments. The judicial system worked well and caught a scoundrel!

Chapter 7 Client

I was in a very serious situation with my creditors where I was being sued informing me they were going to attach my wages. In July of 2014, I contacted Christopher Lefebvre and I had an appointment without delay for a free consultation. I explained in full depth of my situation and Christoph...er was very understanding and he took care of the creditors that were suing me without delay. During this meeting he also explained my options and the process of bankruptcy if this was what I decided to do. After the consultation, I felt that filing Chapter 7 was the best way to resolve this situation in which would also give me a fresh start. Christopher was very professional, dexterous; thorough in explaining the process to detail and kept me informed every step of the way. I would highly recommend Christopher M. Lefebvre for anyone in need of an Attorney. Thank you.
