Carl Harry Hurvich

Carl Hurvich is Partner and Head of Immigration at Brooks Law Firm, where he represents immigrants facing complex legal challenges, including removal defense, criminal-immigration issues ("crimmigration"), post-conviction relief, and immigration appeals. His work focuses on helping individuals navigate the intersection of criminal and immigration law, particularly when past or pending criminal charges create serious immigration consequences.

Carl earned his undergraduate degree from Oberlin College and later received his Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. During law school, he was awarded First Place Oralist honors in the Monrad G. Paulson Moot Court Competition and gained hands-on advocacy experience through the Criminal Appeals and Civil Rights Clinic, where he developed a strong foundation in appellate litigation and constitutional law.

He is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York, and is admitted before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. His practice includes representing clients before Immigration Court (EOIR), USCIS, and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), as well as working in state and federal courts on matters that affect immigration status.
