I am an immigration attorney at Brooks Law, where I represent immigrants facing complex legal challenges, including removal defense, criminal-immigration issues (“crimmigration”), post-conviction relief, and immigration appeals. My work focuses on helping individuals navigate the intersection of criminal and immigration law, particularly when past or pending criminal charges create serious immigration consequences.
I earned my undergraduate degree from Oberlin College and later received my Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. During law school, I was awarded First Place Oralist honors in the Monrad G. Paulson Moot Court Competition and gained hands-on advocacy experience through the Criminal Appeals and Civil Rights Clinic, where I developed a strong foundation in appellate litigation and constitutional law.
I am licensed to practice law in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York, and I am admitted before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. My practice includes representing clients before Immigration Court (EOIR), USCIS, and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), as well as working in state and federal courts on matters that affect immigration status.
At Brooks Law, I focus on complex immigration cases involving deportation defense, inadmissibility and deportability challenges, detention and bond hearings, and post-conviction relief strategies designed to reduce or eliminate immigration consequences. I regularly represent noncitizens who are facing removal proceedings due to prior convictions or criminal charges.
Many of the cases I handle involve developing legal strategies across multiple legal systems, where criminal law and immigration law overlap. These matters often require detailed legal analysis, careful litigation planning, and close collaboration with clients whose futures in the United States may depend on the outcome.
My approach emphasizes clear communication, rigorous legal research, and strong advocacy in high-stakes cases where both liberty and lawful immigration status may be at risk.
I am deeply committed to the idea that everyone deserves a fair opportunity to pursue justice and stability. Through my work, I aim to help clients navigate some of the most difficult moments in their immigration journey while protecting their rights under the law.
