The best landlord-tenant lawyer in Boston

If you need a lawyer for tenant dispute - call Jesse. No need to look further. Jesse's expertise is exceptional. He helped my mom and I with abusive tenant who was in violation of lease terms then decide not to pay his rent. Jesse took it on and led us through the Boston Housing Court process in the ...most efficient way. It took 5- 6 months, but Jesse made it happen. It could have gone on longer. Jesse stayed on the case keeping us well -informed. Don't hesitate - call Jesse if you have tenant issues.

Highly recommend. Excellent Lawyer! Efficient, communicates well, goes above and beyond…the absolute best at what he does.

My mom is the Landlord of a multi-unit property for which I primarily manage. I write this review with so much heartfelt gratitude because we thought this nightmare tenant would never be out. Tenant tried and did everything to remain there at the expense of the landlords health and finance. We hired ...Jesse following a consultation for a case that had been ongoing for years. It was a horrendous situation where the tenant (Section 8) was continuously troublesome, a hoarder, extremely untidy, was being destructive in causing damage to the property, etc. Tenant’s actions led to stopped Section 8 payments and loss. Cost the landlord over $100,000 in loss over the span of years the tenant resided in the unit….It was terrible, and that now former tenant, made it difficult for other occupants of the property to go about their daily lives. As soon as Jesse was hired he got the case moving again and went above and beyond filing all paperwork necessary. He followed up, communicated openly, promptly and professionally throughout the case , and informed us whenever a decision was made by the courts or if he was still waiting to hear back. We never had to question or wonder about the status. He was transparent, extremely generous and helpful. If I could rate this at 1000 stars I would, because he went above and beyond even though he didn’t have to. That tenant was evicted and followed with an appeal to elongate the process. Jesse promptly responded with filing and in the end it was granted, all due to the thorough excellent work Jesse conducted, the professionalism he portrayed and presented in the courtroom. I highly recommend him and encourage those who are in unfortunate similar situations to contact him expeditiously. Jesse, thank you so much.

Was Quick & Effective

My wife and I are first-time landlords of an income property, and we recently went through an eviction process with one of our tenants. While waiting in court for mediation, we happened to stumble upon Jesse who quickly read over our documents and gave us free advice before entering mediation. Unfort...unately, mediation didn't go as planned, but Jesse agreed to take us on as a client for our in-person trial. With little time to prepare, Jesse examined all of our documents, became very prepared with our case, and explained his strategy in moving forward with the trial. Before the trial could even begin, Jesse worked his magic and got our tenant to agree on a deal that we'd been offering him for what felt like an eternity. Jesse is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to an eviction process, and we learned a lot from him in the short amount of time he represented us. His fees are both fair and reasonable, and we plan to use him for issues like these in the future (which we hope there are few of). Thanks, Jesse!

Recommending Jesse Bousquet Jr.

I had to help a family member in need sell a property from outside the state. The property had tenants and I needed help to know what to do to handle everything properly. Fortunately I was referred to Jesse Bousquet Jr. - Jesse is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of landlord/tenant law. Jesse w...as compassionate with my situation and respected my desire to be compassionate yet affective. Jesse was clear in laying out information, actions, timelines and expectations. Thanks to Jesse's help I was able to collect all owed rent and work fairly with tenants to be able to sell the property for my family member. I definitely recommend Jesse to anyone in need of landlord/tenant legal help.

Outstanding Lawyer

I hired Jesse as my lawyer and I am extremely glad that I did. I had a significant criminal charge hanging over my head. If convicted, I would have definitely had to do jail time. Most probably, two and a half years of jail time. Jesse always took his time with me. When I called him, Jesse would pi...ck up and answer my questions or address my concerns. If Jesse was busy when I called, he would get back to me that same day or within 24 hours. Jesse was up front and always honest with me. Believe me when I say, Jesse was prepared for my case and represented me in an exceptional manner. Jesse ultimately got my case dismissed! It was his steadfast work on my case that achieved this very favorable outcome (my case being dismissed). Jesse is much more than a competent lawyer. This is why I gave him 5 stars. His work/representation was exceptional!
