Nancy Fenn Baskin

Nancy is sharp and experienced--to be sure, She is a good listener and thoughtful--not as easy to come by as one would hope. I interviewed a lot of attorneys before asking Nancy to represent me. I chose her because in addition to being an excellent attorney, she was the only one I felt i could trust ...to speak in my name, in a manner which I trusted and that reflected who I am and what I care about. And, if that were not enough, I experienced Nancy as a caring and kind person at a very difficult time in my life. The wisdom of her legal advice is still unfolding and I am grateful for her guidance.

Nancy was originally referred to me as "tough but compassionate," which proved to be a considerable understatement. She clearly has a thorough understanding of the law as well as an extensive body of practical experience; my case changed directions several times, and at every step she was able to cl...early explain my options as well as make practical recommendations. She put together an agreement that precisely reflected my wishes, and which ultimately became final. And while my situation did not become overly adversarial, it was plainly clear from her manner and competence that anyone who tried to get away with anything in a fight with her would end up in sad shape indeed. Still - and perhaps even more importantly, to me - she was indeed a compassionate and knowledgeable presence throughout what was certainly the darkest period in my life. She (and everyone in her office, occasionally even including her awesome and highly empathetic dog) were unfailingly kind and helpful, and helped me to make good decisions while keeping things in perspective. She also struck a good balance between being sympathetic and making sure I made the right decisions for myself, even when I couldn't quite recognize them on my own - a pearl beyond price. At any rate, Nancy and her team are the real deal - experts who care about the means as well as the ends. I wouldn't care to have gone through this experience without her help, and would very strongly recommend her to anyone, any time.

Nancy got me through the most difficult time in my life with skill and compassion. She quickly grasped and skillfully negotiated both complex financial issues in my business and the difficult custody issues I was facing. She outmaneuvered an extremely aggressive lawyer on the other side. She did it... all efficiently and treated me with kindness and dignity. Nancy Baskin treated me like I was wasting her time. She mishandled my case so badly that now, some time later I am dearly paying the price. Things she should have caught were not, language that should have been removed was not, options that I had were never brought to light. She treated me like a se...cond class citizen regardless of the fact that I paid her 5 figures to watch my back. Do yourself a favor and find another attorney.

Nancy made a good first imprssion and appeared competant. She reviewed my first draft by husband's lawyer quickly and had good suggestions. HOWEVER, when it came to revising the document on several simple points I waited OVER TWO MONTHS with absolutely no progress. Furthermore, during this time sh...e continueally lied to me; each week emailing that she was close to final draft, and would will get it to me later this week. So many promises for "a few days". ALL Bullshit; I have yet to see anything produced from this office except lies.
