Justin saved me from sexual harassment/discrimination battle

I reached out to Justin after filing a sexual harassment claim with my employer's Human Resources department. The claim was handled poorly, resulting in workplace retaliation and victim-blaming. The harassment I had endured had been occurring for over a year and I was starting to feel hopeless. After... I had my initial consultation with Justin, hiring him was the easiest and smartest decision ever. He alleviated so much of the mental toll it was taking on me, navigating the investigation communications, settlement approach, etc. When I hired Justin, my mental health was at an all-time low. Justin helped me reach a reasonable settlement with my employer that leaves me in a good space financially, professionally, and personally. I can honestly say that upon signing the resolution agreement Justin helped me acquire, I instantly felt like I could breathe again. I truly owe Justin my life right now, because I was getting to the point that my day-to-day was hardly bearable. My husband and I are so grateful for Justin and I could not recommend him enough.

Landlord Tenant Eviction Consultation

I consulted attorney Justin on an eviction case with my landlord. My case was peculiar and Justin was honest about this being the first he's ever encountered. Yet, Justin helped me run through the details of my situation, potential next steps, and the best way to communicate the matter to the landlor...d most cost-effectively. Justin's advice was very helpful and provided valuable guidance on how I could approach my matter professionally and most appropriately.

Teacher Employment Sexual Orientation Discrimination Dispute

Attorney Justin Murphy handled my sexual orientation discrimination dispute case effectively. During consultation he was professional and understanding given the sensitive nature of the dispute. Specifically, he provided legal advice, filed legal documents, and provided me with representation during ...an initial case hearing . Although my case was not accepted to move forward by the Department of Labor Relations due to a statute of limitations of six months on complaint filings (my file date was past the deadline), I did not have any regrets with my decision to hire Attorney Murphy and to discuss my complaint against the Boston Teacher's Union at the Massachusetts State Department of Labor Relations.

Very helpful and responsive!

I had a termination situation that required a quick response. Justin responded right away and worked with me on a tight deadline. He answered every question I had and responded with clarity and honesty. With his help, I was able to negotiate a much better severance package. Thanks Justin!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
