Hopefully this is the first & last time I will ever need the services of a lawyer. Unfortunately, this charge truly can happen to ANYONE. It is not at all a good feeling and I empathize your situation if you are reading this now. So, I was charged with OUI first offense w/ speeding & marked lanes vio...lation. We found Mr. Waldbaum from a referral by a Lawrence attorney who had been referred to us by a Worcester attorney. The Lawrence attorney told us that Mr. Waldbaum was the one to go to. I contacted him on a Monday morning, giving him the details of the case. Within an hour, I had received emails with q...uestionnaires to fill out. The offendor filled out the forms, spoke at some length (as did the mom) with Mr. Waldbaum as to what to expect. We met him less than 24 hours later at court. 8/14/12 I was arrested for OUI 2nd last Oct 2011 w/high BAC and not the best of circumstances. Joe got me an unheard of 10 MONTHS from the time of my arrest to pretrial allowing me to work and drive for most of the interim. When we finally got to court, despite the DA requesting harsh punishment, aft...er Mr Waldbaum's presentation, the judge agreed with Joe to give me 1st OUI sentence with 90 day suspended license (I will have my work license within a week!) and my license fully reinstated after 90 days. Additionally, this normally calls for 2 years probation and Joe got me 1 year! I could have suffered much worse consequences and Joe got me the best possible outcome I could have hoped for. Throughout the whole ordeal, attorney Waldbaum was always straighforward, extremely professional and compassionate while consistently timely with email or phone call - whatever was appropriate.
