As of July 1, 2008, Residential and General Contractors must be licensed by the State of Georgia if the project exceeds $2500. NOTE: Not ALL contractors are required to be licensed. As of July 2008, all Residential and General Contractors need to have a license issued by the state of Georgia. There are a number of contractors that do NOT need to be licensed. The charge of DUI potentially contains both criminal (arrest) and civil (drivers license suspension) concerns. Many of our clients ask us about the “10-day rule.” What this means is that if the officer kept your driver’s license and gave you a large, yellow sheet of paper that is your temporary license (check your wallet; don’t bury this paper!), you have 10 days to appeal a license suspension.
