My exhusband was trying to take my children away from me. Mr. Neff took my case and was able to stop my ex and get me attorney fees. He did a good job.

TERRIBLE ATTORNEY!

I hired Mr. Neff last year and had a horrible experience. This was my first experience working with an attorney so it took me a while to realize how INCOMPETENT he is. He spent several months filing some simple papers that could have easily been done in a week. The one thing he did file with the court for me was done wrong, so he lied about his mistake, blaming it on a court error, and charged me for him to redo it. He gave me advice that I later learned was completely incorrect. He told me I had little or no chance of winning my trial which I actually won with ease through another attorney for less than half the price he quoted. He told me I would spend $10,000 on DV and CD evaluations which ended up costing $100 total. 6 months into working with him, I learned that he had absolutely ZERO information on my case, and he was SCHOCKED to learn that my son's mother was trying to keep me from gaining custody (this was a CUSTODY case)!!
The only thing I liked about him was that he was quick to return calls. He charged me $375/ hr, and after I dropped him, I went with Tatiana Toumanova for $175/ hr. She was more informed, worked harder, faster, smarter, gave me correct information and won my case.

Though Mr.Neff seemed to be engaged in the practice for some time, he didn't appear to be terribly prepared or knowledgeable during our meetings having somewhat of a lackluster persona. Seemed to be less confident with the mediator. Settlement estimates that he gave with my ex were substantially out of line with what the mediator suggested, causing increased legal expenses on my part. The law firm that he works for, Bugni and Associates, has fairly high interest rates for payment plans.

Took up complex case, but provided me with little assistance other than to look at me over his glasses.

He seemed to be reasonably competent but unable and unwilling to deal with an aggressive attorney.

underestimated the cost for a seperation charged me for a devoirce...because got seperation...figuired wants a percentage of whats owed to me.
was told 3000.00 up front now costing me 8000.00
and wants it asap..conserdering cant get ahold of email...phone...william just as bad...they want money no action..base the cost on how much you make..unethical w/o exploration
