In short, John:
- Reduced my charges
- Defended me strategically
- Was professional and timely
- Was kind to me and my family
- Was more organized than anybody I have worked with
John understood immediately how complicated my case was. I had no expectations going in and it was clear that he had some major obstacles to deal with in my situation.
Over time, I was able to speak comfortably, even over the phone with him. Prior to every meeting, he told me what we were in for. And he was never wrong.
Ultimately what I appreciated most about John was his willingness to tend to multiple family members concerns, while still doing his job.
Could not have asked for better legal representation for a DUI.
Thank you for your time John!
If you are here searching for DUI lawyers and reading the many reviews to help you decide on who to choose, you are in the same position I was, seven months ago.
I had never previously dealt with lawyers, officers or the court system before my incident, but I suddenly found myself in this situation. I felt that my whole world was tumbling down. I was in the middle of a career transition as well as a financial one and felt completely helpless.
One of my friends referred me to Mr. Jon, whom he hired over 10 years ago for a similar case. He sent me his number and I contacted him to setup a meeting to review my case. Although I trusted my friend that referred me, I wanted to check what my other options were, so I contacted three other lawyers and met with them over the course of 5 days.
All the three other lawyers listened to my case, and gave me different scenarios as if they were copied from each other, except for Mr. Jon.
Jon was asking different type of questions, he was viewing my incident from different angles and he opened my eyes to new things related to my case that others didn't even mention. He was so aware of the DOL procedures, the court procedures, the judges and even the prosecutors.
I immediately made up my mind and hired Mr. Jon to represent me. At the first court appearance, the clerk told him on our way out "Wow, someone is using the heavy artillery by hiring you" and she smiled, I knew earlier that I made the right decision but when I heard that, I knew for sure that Mr. Jon was my best option.
Mr. Jon was able to win my DOL case and my license was not suspended, which seriously saved my life since I was able to drive to work. He kept negotiating with the prosecutor until he got me the best deal for my case.
A DUI charge is a life changing event, a conviction of a DUI can ruin your family life, financial life and throw your career down the drain. I honestly recommend Mr. Jon and can assure you that he will be the best option to get you out of this mess.
Jon took on my case and got me the best possible outcome. He was not just a lawyer, he brought a sense of ease and was able to simply discuss the options with me, and ultimately the solution and course of action. He Came to two different courts many time over a 18 month period. I cannot give a better recommendation; and though my problem had unfortunately go through the ringer a few times I can tell you that all other lawyers pale in comparison
Jon was able to help me through the hardest thing I have ever been through which was getting arrested for a DUI. My case was extremely complicated with many factors against me but Jon was able to get my DUI reduced to reckless driving. He stands out in the courtroom as he knows how to interact with the judge and prosecutor in a very respectful and knowledgeable way. He was also very easy to get in contact with and was attentive to my needs and concerns. I reccommend Jon's services as excellent. Given the circumstances I received an excellent outcome for my case.
This is the 2nd time I have hired Mr Fox, hopefully I never need to hire an attorney again.
The first time I hired Mr. Fox I agreed to a plea deal he arranged. He and I felt I had a winnable case. I accepted the plea deal because of a unique situation, I have a daughter that lives in Canada and my goal was to insure I could still cross the border, the plea deal did that, so rather than risk losing at trial and not be allowed into Canada I accepted the plea deal.
The second time I hired Mr Fox, the same plea deal realistically would not be on the table, however I feel Mr. Fox did his best to try to obtain that again. To no avail. So to trial we went.
I felt Mr. Fox had a good sound strategy for trial. I hesitate to include specifics of my case. Suffice it to say that my trust in Mr. Fox was well placed.
I always felt I had one of, if not the best DUI attorney in the state of Washington in my corner. Mr. Fox was great through out the process, clear about what he was doing, and why. He was alwaus candid, very honest with me.
My recent trial, I was charged with DUI, provided a field sobriety test, walk the line, one leg stand, and follow the pen with your eyes. I felt Mr Fox was masterful in his cross examination! Actual turned my failures into positives! I refused to take the breath test and did lose the administrative hearing. This was expected, and a very large uphill battle to win. That is on me for refusing, I don't think any attorney would have won my administrative hearing.
However at the criminal trial, Mr. Fox did win the day for me! I was worried when the prosecution said that my breath test refusal was an admission of guilt. Mr. Fox was able to make a great argument and obviously my jury agreed with Mr. Fox over the prosecution and returned a verdict of Not guilty.
At completion of my trial I told Mr. Fox I didn't have the words to thank him enough. I wish I did.
Anyone considering hiring an attorney to represent them in a DUI case, can do no better than Mr. Fox. He has my utmost respect, and highest recommendation.
I hope I never need to hire an attorney again, but if I do, Mr. Fox is my first call.
You get what you pay for, someone who is extremely knowledgeable and willing to fight for you. I value my freedom as much as anything. I believe without Mr. Fox, I would have lost some of that freedom.
Thank you again Mr. Fox! I am forever grateful.
I give offer my highest and unequivocal recommendation for Jon Fox. A DUI litigation can be an emotional daunting experience, fraught with legal risk to anyone accused. I would not wish anyone to endure. Jon Fox and his team are without question the finest legal firm I could have asked to represent me. Jon was comprehensive and tenacious in his investigation, yet guided and coached me through this process with kindness and transparency. I cannot recommend Jon Fox more strongly.
Jon Fox is a superior attorney. His knowledge, professionalism and personal touch throughout my ordeal was above and beyond. I would recommend his services to anyone wanting a positive outcome.
Jon Fox represented me in my DUI defense with utmost professionalism and competence. His knowledge of the law and his performance was of the highest quality. The prosecutor even commented to me during trial that I had the best defense attorney in the business. In addition to Jon’s exemplary performance, he treated me with kindness and respect throughout the entire proceedings. I never doubted that Jon believed me. I would not hesitate to call upon Jon in the unlikely event that I would need his help again. He is an upstanding individual and a fine attorney. I would give him the highest of recommendations.

After finding myself in possibly the worst position I have ever been, my father contacted Jon. Jon was able to reach a VERY favorable outcome for my case. I do not hesitate for one second to suggest to anyone who has made the terrible decision of getting behind the wheel after drinking and paying the price for it. His services are well worth the price tag. Furthermore, Jon is a fantastic, amiable, and very compassionate guy. Thank you so much Jon.

This might be the first review of Jon you read on Avvo, or you might not read it at all. But either way the story is the same as every other review and endorsement Jon has. You won't find a better lawyer to lead and defend you through the process. His fighting is what pushed the prosecutor to offer a reduced charge, and I had a very, very tough case to fight against.
When he says he's making your court case his problem, and asks you to focus on your family, friends, work, hobbies, and life, he really means it. But if I had more questions he'd always answer them to the level that had me walking away knowing he's got a handle on it and I can remove it from my daily thoughts.
And any lingering doubts about whether Jon was worth it or the right guy were put to bed as soon as I really saw him in his natural environment - the courtroom. There might not have been a more knowledgeable, prepared, or confident person in that room, including the judge and prosecutor. If you told me he was born and raised in a courtroom during DUI trials, I'd say that makes perfect sense.
If you have a tough case and are looking for the best of the best, you can't do better than Jon. He might not be able to promise you the outcome you want, but he will certainly give you the best shot at it.
