Description:I represented a woman who had her hours reduced after she came back from her materntiy/pregnancy leave because the employer did not follow the law. The employer brought on an employee to temporarily replace my client while she was on leave, but then decided to keep the temporary employee working full-time when my client tried to return to work while giving my client only part-time work. The employer's failure to reinstate my client to full-time was a violation of the law. When my client eventually returned to work full-time, they reduced her pay, forcing her to quit. We filed suit and ultimately settled a few days before trial. My client was very satisfied with the outcome.
