When I was charged with DUI/Hit and Run in July 2009, I wasn't sure what my next step was. I contacted Mr. Fox and he began to lead me through the process of getting my life back in order. Because of his reputation and experience in the field, I was able to have my charge reduced to Reckless driving and Hit and Run Unattended. This was a relief.

If you find yourself in the unfortunate circumstance of being charged with a DUI, I highly recommend Jon Fox. Although I believe there are other reputable and worthy attorneys in the Seattle area, when I did my research, Jon was referred by everyone I asked and the one who did not use him, unfortunately, was convicted of a DUI. As many others have said on this site, Jon is calming, thorough and responsive. I finally gave up doing my own research and relied solely on his advice and guidance. As a result, I had a favorable outcome.

His very high emotional intelligence gives him access to uncoventional sources of information which provides unique insights. His understanding of how the law really works (it ain't pretty) combined with his personal sources of information inform his strategic and tactical planning.

Mr. Fox was very professional, very effective, and extremely easy to deal with. I would use him again in a heartbeat., but hopefully will never have to The reason for downgrading to 4 stars on responsiveness is actually not Mr. Fox himself, but his assistant. She was not always quick to respond to voicemail or emailed questions, and made one scheduling error. But assistants come and go, you pick an attorney for his skills, and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Jon was recommended to me by a very high profile successful business lawyer in Seattle as the go-to lawyer for DUI issues. Jon was successful in getting my charge reduced. He is very well known in the community by judges, prosecutors and other lawyers which was most beneficial in my case. Also, in my case the venue, while still in Washington State, was outside of King County. Jon went the extra mile for me and “personally” drove to the prosecuting jurisdiction on my behalf to investigate and research all of the best possible outcomes for my case–outstanding effort and there are no words to adequately thank him for the tremendous effort and results.
The bottom line is Jon negotiated an outstanding outcome for me; one which will save my career and keep me from the incarceration nightmare that awaited me. Jon gave me his personal cell phone number and was always available for counsel. He is a very knowledgeable, well known, well trained professional…and he really cared about my personal and emotional welfare during this process. Jon gave me some very good advice on how to handle my DUI, He gave me step by step advice with a printed to-do-list of things to do with a timelines chart on what happens when. I had the unfortunate need to hire someone to defend me in a DUI case in Washington State. I was introduced to John after doing some research of my own and found him to be very knowledgeable and easy to work with through this difficult process. He kept me informed, involved and made clear a sometimes complex series of steps in working through my case. When I commented that, at one point along the way, I felt like a certain part of the case or early ruling had gone poorly and the consequences were different than originally explained, John took ownership of the issues, offered additional help and counsel, and succeeded in turning around a ruling that would have been very difficult on me. I would definitely seek out John and his office of highly qualified, highly experienced attorneys and associates, and thank them for being attentive, honest and treating me with respect and understanding.

Getting into this sort of prediciment is never a fun experience. But after one has accepted the the reality of the situation, the next step is to find a professional, respected attorney. Jon Fox was the attorney I chose to work with, this was a refferral from my father who is also an attorney so I felt comfortable with the reference. Not only was Jon quick to respond to my concerns and needs, he held my hand through out the whole process. DUI's in the state of Washing will only increase with negative consquences, it is very important that you have someone representing you that has the qualifications, recognition and respect from the court that Jon exemplifies.
I hate to say it but you get what you pay for. Jon is not the cheapest attorney out there, however, I came out on top. A DUI/Wreckless is nothing to take lightly, if you get in trouble make sure that you have great representation. Jon Fox did an amazing job and I would recommend him to anyone who needed assistance. Jon not only became my lawyer - he became a friend and confident - I was not perfect nor will I be during the process which is still ongoing - and yet Jon has always stood by me and for that I am thankful. Jon showed his expertise in court, but also entered into a new realm where he had never been - that of mental health court, and though he conceded that he was out of his normal arena - he was able to contact the correct people and get the righ information that led to the most miraculous outcome I could have asked for. Even now, when all that is required is review hearings to ensure compiance, Jon continues to come and show his support for me, and this shows that he cares about his work and about his clients. I am proud to write this review of Jon and would recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone who finds themselves in the unfortunate position of getting stopped for a DUI.

Getting charged with a DUI... if you have never been there, it is hard to explain the indignity of it. Regardless of your situation or innocence, you are treated as a criminal right out of the gate - even tried twice for the same offense (by the license board and the court system). The only recourse you have is to make sure that the best professionals in the state are on your side. Without question, you get that with Jon and his team.
From the first meeting, Jon and his team explained the process, tactics, and procedures to ensure that I was informed. With a great deal of understanding that this was already an awkward position to be in, they worked through my case as discretely as possible and helped minimize the impact this could have had on my family. The day that I was arrested for DUI was simply earth shattering. Besides the humiliation of the initial innocedient; the ensuing costs, damage to my reputation, potential loss of my job and further embarrassment were enough to make me want to crawl under a rock and die. I knew that the only way out of the obvious ensuing detriment was the finest counsel money could buy. I interviewed every top shelf attorney in town and frankly, it was a difficult decision to make. For me, a negative outcome of the case would, at the very least, ruin my career.
Initially I wanted to pursue every possible angle of my case to fight for every inch possible, which I later learned was not the best approach. Jon Fox understands and has a command of DUI Law in the state of Washington. I believe he spent a great deal of time reviewing EVERY detail of my case and was able to decipher the weak areas of the case against me. He literally brought to light items that other attorneys had never mentioned. I believe that his experience and relationship with the court allowed him to target and destroy enough of the evidence against me, which ultimately led to most of the evidence being dismissed. I cannot comment on any other attorney’s in the DUI field but, I do know that I was very pleased with my decision to hire Mr. Fox. Jon Fox is the first lawyer I have ever had to work with, and if I ever find myself in a bind again I will not think twice about working with him again. Though Jon specializes in DUI/DWI cases, he was happy to assist me in my case which dealt with charges of both Assault and Domestic Violence. Jon and his staff are friendly, informative, experienced, and committed.
In my case Jon and the FoxBowmanDuarte team were able to handle my legal matter with great success. The result of the case was complete dismissal without having to go to trial. In addition to the complete dismissal, there weren't even any court appointed conditions for the dismissal, which helped my situation greatly. From beginning to end my case was handled in about a month. During that month I was kept abreast with any developments and/or changes in my case as they happened. Which was very helpful when it came to keeping my employer informed. Often times one will hear horror stories of Lawyers cycling clients for profit. That is just not the case with Jon. I took his advice and am very pleased with the outcome.
