From our very first meeting, to the final handshake, Mr. Thiagarajah demonstrated traits only found in the best attorneys. I cant thank Fred enough for all that he has done for me on my dui case. I was unfairly charged with 2 Misdeameanors: Fictional ID & MIP of Alcohol. I interviewed over 15+ lawyers from Avvo and EVERY single lawyer was very unassuring about being able to get both dismissals without it ending up on my record of some sort (alternative programs, DEJ, etc). I highly recommend attorney Fred Thiagarajah. When it comes to criminal matters Fred out shines them all. Speaking from personal experience, I was falsely accused by a co-worker whose allegation was that I assaulted and physically struck him when it was he who actually assaulted me. Amazing lawyer for my Speed contest 23109(a) case at the Harbor justice center in Newport beach. My car was initially impounded for 30 days, he got the car out in less than 10 days.
For the misdemeanor charge, he kept me in the loop on the proceedings and also helped me understand the whole process. He went to the court more than 4 times to get my charges COMPLETELY DISMISSED. He also handled my immigration side while working on the case which is something not many lawyers understand. I would HIGHLY recommend him for any criminal defense cases.

1. Of course an attorney has to be smart, knowledgeable, well experienced, etc. But what if somebody has it all but isn't trustworthy? What if he never returns your call, doesn't tell you what is going on? In one word, Fred is a full package lawyer. 2. If you're not a citizen of USA, you MUST hire Fred. This is not an option that you might consider. It's a must. You will not find any criminal lawyer who also knows about immigration law. In worst case, you might get a fair deal with you criminal case but you can be deported next day. And surprisingly, a lot of lawyers I've talked to, they didn't know about how your possible outcome would affect your immigration matter, which means you would need to hire an immigration lawyer just to discuss your issue. From the first free consultation, Fred told me all about it. Each scenario, each outcome, each consequence. There was nothing hidden. He wasn't afraid of giving out information and not being hired. As a freelancer myself, I know this is something that only top notch professionals can do. Most of people tell you half or less. Because they have to hold onto their ace.

3. So, briefly about my case: ALL MY CHARGES ARE DISMISSED.
It was early October, 2011. I was charged with domestic violence hitting my unfaithful live-in boyfriend, and another charge for breaking his cell phone which I swear didn't do. It was a police who assumed I did based on the situation.
I was on F1 student visa and OPT period which ends in July, 2012. I had less than a year to legally stay in USA, and my case had to end before then I have no family or relative in USA. I didn't have any money to do anything. I was fresh out of school in worst time of economy. It was devastating. After I was arrested, I lost my health, work, and developed serious depression. My parents who are fairly well reputable in my home country, had to be uninformed about this matter. I could not tell them about anything happened with me. I was all by myself mentally and financially facing any horrible outcome from this horrendous incident. Most likely the only option for me was dismissal of both charges for the matter of my parents and immigration issue. And yes, Fred did it. 4. Public defender told me that I would be deported and serve some time in jail. I am an extremely meticulous person. At my age, with my pristine criminal record and education I thought I was beyond frivolous arrest and prosecution, but I was wrong - dead wrong.
