I had an extremely involved and complicated case, due to the knowledge, skill and expertise of Mr. Cole Casey he immediately knew from the beginning how to handle the situation. I had previously been retained two former attorney's prior to retaining Mr. Casey and it was not only a waste of time, but a waste of my money and resources. After being totally humiliated by Dan Smith at the United trial group, I was exhausted and Mr. Cole Casey was my absolute last resource. I was arrested on a second DUI during the probationary period of my first DUI. Needless to say, I was terrified of the consequences. Mr. Casey was able to plea to a wet reckless for me, which I've been told is a very difficult task under these circumstances. Not only does it make a difference with the state of CA, classes, service and fines, but it's also a major reduction in my overall level of stress.

I can't thank him enough for his hard work and attention to my case. My son had one drink 2 weeks before his 21st birthday and was caught at a sobriety check point. He was not legally drunk, but in CA you can't have anything and drive before your 21. After my DUI arrest I called Mr. Casey on the recommendation of another attorney friend of mine. It was not only the right call but turned out to be the best money I ever spent. I was arrested in Nov 2009 and through all the months of DMV hearings, and District Attorney hearings, etc, Cole and his staff were always right there. From the very beginning his staff was available to review the entire process, what to expect in terms of hearings and time tables, and in general temper all the the anxiety and stress that accompanies this process. I always felt I had an advocate and a place to turn when questions or other stresses arose. His office always responded to my calls in a timely fashion and the biggest thing for me, was after the case was resolved with the DA, Cole and his staff didn't abandoned me when there was unfinished business with the ever-persistant and omnipotent DMV. My case was droppped by the DA as Cole was able to clearly present my innocence. The DMV was another matter and he continued to represent me until that part was resolved as well. Cole Casey was a true advocate and confident, his office very professional and diligent, and I will always be grateful for his/their service.

I knew once I hired this firm that I made the right choice. Cole came highly recommended by a Superior Court judge, and I am forever in debt to that judge for the recommendation. His knowledge of this area of law is extensive, but I assume anyone could probably learn the same things. However, the passion and intensity that Cole and Matt showed me was unique to them...it was clear to me that not only are these guys great at what they do, the genuinely love what they do. I ended up pleading guilty to reckless driving, not a wet reckless, just regular reckless, and Cole was gung ho to put my case in front of a jury....which I thought was really cool. I did a lot of research before selecting Cole as my DUI attorney. Met with 7 attorneys before selecting him.

I immediately like his direct, no non-sense approach to my case as well as his absolute candor with me about the reality of my situation. My DUI arrest was no fairy tale, Reckless Driving, DUI at a .17 BAC, you get the idea. He helped me to understand my options and make the most intelligent decisions at each step of my case.

Cole's courtroom prowess is nothing short of amazing. He destroyed the city attorney's case in court, I was almost embarrassed for the city attorneys office after the fact.

The moral of this story: Don't drink and drive, ever, ever, ever. You do not want this kind of heat on you. Not only is it stupid, but also the constitution almost doesn't apply to you if you do once in the legal system. Learned a big lesson from my mistake, despite my incredible outcome thanks to Cole.

Regret aside, I have gotten out of bed every morning since with a valid drivers license, no criminal record and driven to work watching the guys in the orange jump suits picking up trash along the road-side saying to myself "Thank God for Cole Casey"!

I would never recommend this attorney. Took $7500 and set a trial. At the court house waiting for the judge he told me I didn't have a chance based upon my case and he can't do anything and that I should just plead guilty. He offered to go back to court in 2 1/2 years to ask for the probation to be reduced from 5 to 2 1/2 years. He could have told me this before. No compassion, not trustworthy. Wouldn't buy a used car from him.

I did my homework on DUI attorneys and am glad I did. I hired Cole Casey, and paid a few dollars more than it seemed everyone else charged, but I had a very good feeling about Cole and his firm. The firm seemed very "legitimate" from the first time I spoke with Matt, one of Cole's lawyers. He had been referred by several other lawyers that I know. All I can say is thank God I went with him and stayed clear of all the bargain basement lawyers, especially those that sent me their BS in the mail. My case was dismissed in January of 2010. 100% gone. The DMV tried to suspend my license and Cole and Matt prevented that from happening too. Cole's reputation is outstanding and I see why...it is well deserved. One funny thing is that after I hired him, 2 of the other lawyers I had interviewed each called me to follow up and see who I hired. I told them Cole and they BOTH said "well, he IS the best" and told me that Cole is who THEY would hire if they were in DUI trouble. (I wonder why they didn't tell me that from the beginning ??) Do your homework people. When you ask around, especially if you have friends in the legal field, they will almost always direct you to Cole's firm, and they should. Excellent, excellent attorney.

I made a stupid mistake. Mr. Casey and his firm were VERY frank with me about what could be done in my situation. He gave me hope, without blowing a bunch of BS smoke to get me to hire him, like the other few lawyers I met with seemed to do. I was pleased with the outcome, it was better than I ever expected. As an attorney myself, I know how so many clients have unreasonable expectations, and tend to blame the lawyer for everything, so I tried not to be that type of client. I am also sure I drove their office crazy but they were patient and did their best to answer my questions. I don't normally write reviews, but I think I owe at least that to Cole. He's a good guy and a damn good lawyer.
