She was very rude and did not know much about my case. She was not helpful at all and did not seem interested in the lest bit in helping me. Over all she is not someone I would ever go to again.
Jodi is the best lawyer I have spoken with. Honest, open, and upfront.
If you want an attorney that doesn't string you along and
will give you blunt realistic answers as well as fight hard
for you she is definitely the way to go.
Ms. Soyars is a fantastic attorney. Ethical and responsive, and most importantly caring. She had a case that lingered over my head for over 4 years while another attorney "worked on it," dismissed in a little over two months. As soon as I spoke with her on the phone, I could sense that she was diligent, and professional. She did not give me any false promises or high hopes; instead, she realistically explained the process and kept me updated along the way. In her voice one hears a clear resolve but not one ounce of brazenness or judgement.
I am a licensed professional and this case lingering could have had career ending consequences for me. She understood that very well. After my first conversation with her, prior to me even retaining her, she had gone to court and looked up my case and given me updates.
I cannot say enough good things about her. I just hope that more attorneys are made that way.
I want everyone to know that Jodi was God sent. I was accused of a terroristic threat and assault charge. Jodi believed in me and she never stopped. I was always advised well. I was very pleased with Jodi. I feel Jodi also went above and beyond with my case and I am thankful for the extra she gave. May God bless her more. Our outcome was (Not Guilty) by a jury and all was expunged. Thank you Jodi and my God for sending her.
Jodi was the best choice I could have made, when I was arrested for DWI I was so scared and she made the entire process a breeze. Jodi was on time to every court date which took place over a 2 year period, I trusted every piece of advice she gave me and It paid off big time my DWI was DISMISSED!!!!!
I was arrested for DWI in 2010 for the first and only time. I was inexperienced and did not know what to do or who to turn to. Initially I was stressed and nervous. Having received a letter of invitation, I contacted Jodi Soyars. Immediately I felt I had made the right decision when Ms. Soyars began to ask a few questions and explain the "lay of the land" with regards to my particular case and what I could expect. I was never disappointed. Ms. Soyars exercised patience as I expressed fears and concerns and assured me that she was on my side and would seek the best result possible. Of course she could not guarantee that the court would decide my case in my favor. She explained that according to the law, one is innocent until proven guilty and that the burden of proof was upon the state. With each interaction, whether by phone or in person, I grew more confident in the integrity and professionalism of Ms. Soyars and her legal experience. I knew that I was following a competent guide. The first thing Ms. Soyars urged me to do was to commit to writing my recollection of what actually took place the night of my arrest and submit this and any other information pertinent to my case to her office as soon as possible. She expressed that it would take time to get resolution in my case and that my memory of the event would fade. Months passed and there were numerous appearances required of me by the court. Each and every step of the way, Ms. Soyars or her assistant handled all interactions with the court on my behalf. This greatly relieved my level of stress. After approximately six appointments to appear in court, the day finally came when I felt sure that my case would be tried before a jury. This is something that initially I dreaded. However I grew more and more confident that if Ms. Soyars determined it was the best course to take that it was the best course to take. Ms. Soyars had carefully studied all the facts of my case available to her and developed a plan that she believed could provide the best opportunity for me to be cleared of this charge. On the day that I thought I was going to go before a jury, Ms. Soyars expertly and successfully argued my case before the judge to prove that there was inconsistency in the officer's report supporting the charge against me and not sufficient cause for my arrest. The judge reviewed the report for himself and agreed with Ms. Soyars and ruled in my favor to suppress the charges and dismiss my case without penalty. The state considers all DWI charges to be very serious and in the beginning of this process indicated it would seek maximum penalty. I did not know until the final moments of my interactions with Ms. Soyars and the court what the outcome of my case would be. So I was greatly relieved with the judge's dismissal and deeply grateful to Ms. Soyars. I felt that she more than honored her professional commitment in every detail and succeeded in getting the best possible result in my case. There is never a guarantee of what may result from legal charge like the one against me, but I can say with confidence that Ms. Soyars will handle any case brought to her to the very best of her professional and experienced ability.
I have been corresponding through AVVO with Ms. Soyars and reached out to her by telephone. She went above and beyond without my even retaining her services to make a few inquiries on my behalf. She was honest, forthright and seems to have integrity.
my husband needed a crimal defense attorney. we hired mrs soyars on monday and by wednesday she had his case dropped. she did everything she promised to do and most attorneys dont promise things because they said they cant do that. she worked until we had the results that we hoped for. i was very happy with her services and would definately hire her again.
