About Me

Ramez F. Shamieh joined McCathern in February of 2010. He represents business entities and individuals in a variety of matters including contractual disputes, construction defects, personal injury, employment-related issues, and stockholder disputes. Ramez’ clientele list includes physicians, financial companies, business owners, investment companies, injured employees and individuals, construction companies, school teachers, stock holders, and bar owners, among others. He also has broad experience in the formation and structuring of national and international business entities. He has first-chaired several civil trials and obtained successful verdicts for his clients. Before joining McCathern, Ramez worked at Reyes Bartolomei Browne where he successfully litigated personal injury lawsuits. Additionally, he owned and operated R2S Sports Agency, L.L.C., which negotiated contracts for professional athletes.


 


Ramez was born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana before moving to Dallas in 1999 to attend Southern Methodist University. Ramez received his B.B.A. and graduated cum laude from the SMU Cox School of Business. He was a member of the SMU Division I Men's Soccer Team, which advanced to the Final Four in 2000 and set a national record for regular season wins in 2001. Ramez received his law degree from Tulane University Law School and is licensed to practice law in Texas and Louisiana.


 


He is admitted to practice in Texas, Louisiana, and New York. Ramez is actively involved in the community and is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, Muscular Dystrophy Association Legal Leaders, and Sports Lawyers Association of America.
