Joshua Michael Sandler

Joshua Sandler is a Partner at the law firm of Lynn Pinker Cox & Hurst, LLP. He is one of only one hundred attorneys in the State of Texas recognized by Texas Super Lawyers as a Top 100 Up-and-Coming Texas Rising Star. Josh is an experienced business litigation trial lawyer who represents Fortune 500 companies, small and mid-size businesses, and individuals in a wide range of business disputes involving commercial transactions and employment issues in the state and federal courts of Texas and the Southwest.

In addition, Josh has participated in several employment investigations, one of which involved the Chief Operating Officer of a large, national company regarding allegations of sexual harassment. Moreover, Josh has written and lectured about broadcast defamation and privileged speech issues, and the commercial context and social media aspects of the Anti-SLAPP statute in Texas. “I find defamation, slander, and business disparagement an interesting area of the law,” Josh says, “because it often involves the intersection between freedom of speech issues and a business’s ability to earn a profit.”

Josh also represents several early-stage and start-up businesses, a growing market that aligns well with Josh’s reputation for finding solutions that avoid disputes when possible, but handing those disputes aggressively when necessary.

Josh is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where he obtained his undergraduate degree. Josh became licensed to practice law in the State of Texas after graduating from the SMU Dedman School of Law. He is also licensed to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

As a husband and a father, children are very important to Josh, which is why he previously served as Chair of the Dallas Bar Association’s Law in the Schools Committee. Josh also serves on the Board of the Dallas Children’s Theater, where he focuses on bringing underprivileged children to the theater for the first time and is President of the Sunnyvale Education Foundation, where he raises money to enhance public school children’s educational experience.
