Case Conclusion Date:October 18, 2006
Practice Area:DUI / DWI
Outcome:Aquittal by Jury
Description:Matthew was identified by a citizen witness as the driver of a vehicle owned by him. He claimed that the true driver, his girlfriend, had fled the scene. He was highly intoxicated and arrested. Through thorough cross examination and closing argument, we convinced the jury that Matthew was not in fact the driver of the vehicle and he was acquitted of a repeat offense drunk driving charge. The client had refused the blood test which was later forced and was convicted of the refusal, a civil rather than criminal charge.
