From the first meeting with Rick I felt that he was very experienced and confident he would do his very best in my representation. Having a DUI case in Ontario county is no easy case and having 4 charges I was seriously worried of a DUI on my record and would of happy to have it lowered to a DWAI. But to have the 3 out of 4 charged dismissed and only a moving violation of inadequate lights finding me guilty of was like having Christmas come 2 weeks early. I was truly impressed with the way Rick broke down testimony and having a bench trial proving to the judge, that neither the Ontario Co. DA or the arresting officer did their job correctly. Richard Roxin, and the firm he represents are amazing DUI lawyers that I would recommend to any family member or friend that feels the need to have the best firm represent their best interest. Thanks again Rick your awesome !!!
Mr. Roxin is the best lawyer I have ever hired. He handled the case with vigor, amazing knowledge of legal matters, and extreme dedication to the client and our whole family in distress. We came to him for help after another lawyer was unable to achieve results anywhere close to what we were hoping for. He went above and beyond getting us the best resolution possible, that would not destroy the rest of the life of a young man who just made a mistake. We especially appreciated that he was ALWAYS available on the phone - and called back very soon after I left a message. He is very compassionate, courteous, non-judgmental, and deals with difficult situations in a friendly, positive manner. Before we found Mr. Roxin on Avvo.com, we had had a very unpleasant experience with some lawyers, and we are thrilled that Mr. Roxin turned out to be such an outstanding lawyer (as evidenced by his reviews on this website). He truly saved the young man in our family from major trouble and helped the rest of us survive the difficult situation. I would hire Mr. Roxin again without any hesitation.
Being charged with a DWI is a serious offense that shouldn’t be taken lightly, and as a young professional straight out of college, I’m glad I had Richard Roxin representing me as my attorney. Being from Albany, NY and traveling to Rochester was laborious for my DWI case, but Rick made it more convenient and accessible for me and my family by contacting the court and working out the dates to best suit my schedule.
After each step in the process for my DWI case, Rick would sit me down and tell me where we were, what was going on, and what is coming up next and ALWAYS answered my questions, answering my phone calls morning, noon, or night. This put my mind at ease (well as much as it could be in this stressful situation).
Being charged with multiple misdemeanors and tickets involving DWI and an accident in one of the toughest counties on DWI in the state, I thought that to the courts the mounting evidence would be damning against me. Amazingly Rick was able to use his knowledge of the legal system and resolved my case with all non-criminal rulings. I could not be happier with the outcome.
Although I don’t wish anybody to go through the same ordeal I did, I would recommend Rick Roxin to anybody who is being charged with a DWI related crime, he really is the best that you can get.
Rick Roxin helped my family through a difficult situation involving one of my children. He was compassionate, truly cared about the case, and he was ALWAYS extremely responsive - either at the time I called, or he called me back within hours. He provided excellent professional support, and I highly recommend him.

I would never go this route again. If it is your first DWI save the $ and fight for yourself. Information told was incorrect. Mr. Roxin does need to become informed with DWI laws pertaining to DMV. He does not communicate well, does not get back to you in a timely manner until it is to late. Was under the impression that this firm were experts in this field but in end the impression was pay up front and then pay more for trial. It was not till I called and wrote to the Judge and the ADA begging for help that Mr. Roxin then reached out. It was a month of hell working on own to get things settled. This Senior Attorney needs to go to back to school.

I recently was charged with DWI. It was my third offense in 25 years. The last time was over 12 years ago.
I was under the impression that it was 2 in 10 years that was when the penalties really started. My Lawyer- Mr. Roxin did not know many of the questions that I asked him. He kept me hanging regarding issues such as whether I would loose my license? Whether I would get a conditional? He said it was up to Albany and up to the DMV. I was also instructed to pay my fine immediatly because it would give me a better chance for a conditional.
I was totally left uninformed , even misinformed from "the expert in DWI".
After reading on line its apparent what the new laws are- 3 in 25 - license is gone for 5 years , no conditional.
I feel I was not given proper counsel. He did not inform me as he should of. He didn't get back to me when he said he would. He doesn't return phone calls. Very disappointed in the "expertise " of this DWI lawyer. The DMV clerk was more knowledgable and helpful.

Rick communicated very well during this complicated process and through his relaxing demeanor kept me relaxed and confident that he was working in my best interest in this case. I never felt that I was not getting the attention or time needed to address this situation.

Being charged with an aggravated DWI my primary concern was on the possible outcomes. I am happy to report that with Rick Roxin's expert legal counsel I ended up with a mere traffic violation.
At every stage of the process Rick Roxin kept me in the loop and communicated clearly. He was very honest early on that anything lower than a misdemeanor DWI was exceedingly rare in such a case. As more facts concerning the case became available and Rick saw opportunities within the legal process the traffic violation outcome became a faint possibility. Rick was flexible and in every step increased my chances of the best possible outcome. Finally after representing me at a trial I walked out with a mere traffic violation. I can not describe in words how valuable it is to me to still have a clean criminal record.
Rick Roxin is a consummate professional. All my questions were answered clearly and promptly. I highly appreciated that Rick explained the strategy to me at every step. Rick's support continued past the trial and into the period where I fulfilled the conditions that the judge had set forth. I faced some unique challenges but Rick was there and helped me find realistic solutions to all my problems.
On a personal note then Rick made me feel very comfortable when I was in a tight spot. Even when being thorough and going through the details of the case he somehow managed to make the conversations so pleasant and relaxed. Rick is the kind of a guy that anyone would love to have over for a Sunday BBQ.
When it comes to delivering results, communication and personal interactions then Rick Roxin scores the highest marks in all categories. If I ever faced similar charges again I would call Rick right away. He gets my strongest possible recommendations.

When my 20 year-old daughter was cited for a DWI we knew the stakes were high given her age and her BAC. Her BAC was too high to for the DA to plead to a lesser charge. Due to the seriousness of the charge, Rick recommended preparing for a trial. During the initial hearing in court the state patrolman gave testimony that did not match the documentation on the state's case. Rick pointed out the discrepancy and the patrol admitted there was a mix up. Rick spotted his opening and contacted the DA to request a plea to traffic violation not a crime. The DA agreed. Everyone won—my daughter learned her lesson, the DA got a conviction, the court got its fees and Rick got to use his expertise to get a great result with some challenging facts. Best of all, my daughter will never have to check that dreaded box on a job application—“Have you ever been convicted of a crime?”
Rick was great with my daughter and me throughout the whole process. He was very thorough, but gentle when he was gathering information from us on the case. No rock went unturned. He was also very reassuring to my daughter that this is just a bad situation and she’s not a bad person. His professionalism matched the high level of the personal treatment that we received—phone calls were answered or returned promptly, we were kept abreast of developments as they happened and he did a great job explaining what was happening as well as preparing us for court.
Should you have the misfortune of facing a DWI, you couldn’t have a better advocate than Rick Roxin. And yes, I would IMMEDIATELY retain Rick again should I be faced with similar circumstances in the future.
