Mr.Wolfberg, is understanding, courtesy, highly knowledgeable. During the initial call he listened, then explained everything clearly and concisely. He took the time to make sure I thoroughly understood all aspects of the issue at hand, what the possible outcomes could be and what he would strive for. (That may have been the joke in all this, "strive") he seemed to easily attain the desired outcome. Turning a 6 point speeding ticket and 3 point unsafe lane change ticket into a parking violation and ZERO points.

I am a Canadian who commutes regularly between Toronto and New York City. I retained Mr. Wolfberg to assist with a speeding charge received in Upstate New York where four demerit points were assessed. As a novice to traffic violations, I found myself in a situation where I received a summons by a police officer after I was involved in an accident. In order to not make a bad thing worse, I contacted Matisyahu who was recommended to me by a close friend. He got back to me very quickly, explained the process to me and assured me that while there were absolutely no guarantees, he would do everything possible to make the experience as stress free for me as possible. Everything was explained in simple terms and after I signed an agreement with Matisyahu he took control of everything that needed to be done. I am from Canada and I have to admit when I got this speeding ticket I was going to ignore it but upon further education I realized that this is no longer the 80's and it will reflect on your Canadian driving record but by the time I did this it was to late to just pay the fine for my license was under suspension. I was pulled over on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn, New York by highway Patrol. Although I'm not sure how fast I was going and admit it was probably about 10 miles per hour over the speed limit, when the officer handed the ticket through the window and walked away, I read the ticket and it stated that I was going 25 miles per hour over! This was a false accusation, with a $195.00 fine and a 6-point penalty, and after talking to several people about how to handle this matter, including other police officers and several lawyers, I knew that I needed to get a lawyer. Of the several lawyers that I conferred with only Matisyahu Wolfberg made me feel like there would be any chance of a positive outcome and for a reasonable fee! Great Job Mr Wolfberg. You took away all the inconvenience of dealing with an out-of-state traffic violation. The taking off work, driving the 2 hrs to the court and waiting for the case to come up is one of the worst parts of getting a ticket out of state. However the most important part was pleading our case on our behalf which reduced our ticket, fines and points.. All around great experience.

I have used the services of NotSpeeding (Matisyahu Wolfberg) twice. First in 2005 for a traffic violation in upstate New York and then (after an uneventful 7 years) again recently. In both cases Matisyahu was remarkably responsive and clear and he was able to get positive resolutions. Matisyahu was a pleasure to work with. I received a speeding ticket in the 6 point category (79 in a 55) in one of the hardest courts in NY to get out of a ticket (suffolk county TVB). I originally called a few lawyers, one told me its not worth it just plead guilty. Another said no problem just send me money ($300 more than Matisyahu) even though google had told me how hard it will be to get out of the ticket.
Mr Wolfberg however first told me the details of this court and told me i need to determine if this was a good idea as it will be a 50/50 shot. In no way was he trying to sell me on the service but rather informing me on the entire process from a to z.
Good news for me was he was able to get me out of the ticket and I HARDLY DID ANYTHING! I sent him the ticket with signature and 10 months later i get an email that it's dismissed!

I've used Mr. Wolfberg twice for speeding tickets in NJ. Both were for going more than 20 mph over the limit. I cared less about the fines, but had a lot of concern about the points.

The first time I spoke to him, Mr. Wolfberg assured me in his very calm, confident manner that while he could give no absolute promises, he was reasonably certain it could be taken care of easily, and that I would not need to even appear in court. A few weeks later, I received a notice from his office that the case was entirely dismissed, no fine, no points. At all.

Having used him once successfully, I went back to him about a year later for the second ticket. This time, the fine was reduced to less than half (!), with no points at all.

This attorney was awful. I received a speeding violation that required me to go to court. Upon referral, I contacted him. He claimed it would be an easy process.

When I arrived to court, I was greeted by one of Matis' very unkempt colleagues who was not prepared. As a result, the judge determined that the case needed to go to trial (for a speeding ticket!!!). All I wanted to do was pay the fine (I was speeding and rightfully guilty) and get the points that would be reflected on my license, reduced. Instead, I ended up with a trial date.

When I called him to ask what happened, he promised to make some phone calls and get back to me. He did not call me back. I finally reached him again, and he said that all I had to do was go to the scheduled trial date and all would be taken care of. He assured me that the charge for speeding would be reduced and that I would receive no points on my license.

When I showed up for court on the scheduled trial date, Matis was, again, not there. The same ill-prepared colleague ended up representing me. Ultimately, I paid the fine, was assured by Matis and the other lawyer that, again, I would not have any points on my license.

Over one year later and upon getting my license renewed (it was coming up on the expiration date), I discovered that not only did I incur points from the violation, but my driver's license had been suspended! I had to pay another very expensive fee, another fee called the Driver Education Fee, and am now fighting with the NYDMV to lift the suspension so that I can have my out of state driver's license renewed. Wolfberg's office never filed the proper paperwork or followed up to ensure the proper, promised results had actually been completed.

I paid his fee of $7,500 for the assurance that I wouldn't have to go to court and wouldn't get points on my license and got nothing. Money wasted on a lawyer who was asleep at the wheel and didn't care to look into the issues. I am a COO of a multi-national company and deal with the Legal community on a regular basis. This was, by far, the worst experience I've ever had with a professional. I don't typically trash the work of others, especially because mistakes can happen; however, his lack of professionalism and follow through was completely unacceptable and demonstrated a flagrant disregard of his responsibility to a client.

This is the first time I ever contacted a lawyer to handle a speeding ticket. I was on the PIP in Rockland County, NY and I was on my motorcycle doing 96 in a 50 MPH zone.
