Todd Alan Bass

Hired him for closing. Imposible to connect with him. No replies my emails. My bank said they send the CD to him and remaining amount check but till the closing day morning this guy did not told me or replied me or answered my calls. The closing morning he told me the amount finally. Did not pursued ...anything for my interests. Did not checked that property had ticket against violation. Right after purchasing I had to spend 3300$ on sidewalk repairing.

I had Todd as a real estate lawyer last year and I have regretted the decision ever since. Everyone that was involved always waited on my lawyer to hand in my paperwork. The communication between me and my attorney was hard. He barely works, plus it seemed as if he didn't have anyone working for him.... It was hard to get an answer from him or for him to move things along. Buying a home is stressful, but my lawyer didn't need to add to it. Before closing, Todd made a statement that he might not be there due to an issue I had with him telling me the breakdown of the closing cost. It was mentioned to me that he will tell me the breakdown 30 minutes before I closed. I hired him as my lawyer to represent me and he couldn't even break down the closing cost when I asked him to. He did not have a problem telling me how much I owed, but he had a problem showing me the breakdown. I then called my bank and asked them if they could help me, they tried but they said your lawyer has the information. This would be helpful if my lawyer would actually help me and represent me well. I even called the bank's lawyer to help me, the bank's lawyer was very helpful. The bank's lawyer told my lawyer to come to closing. My bank's lawyer was great, he even told me that he would help me close if Todd did not show up. On closing day, Todd showed up at least 30 minutes late (how is he suppose to go over the closing breakdown, if he was late). Todd did not even call me to tell me he was running late. He made the home buying process a nightmare. Even the contracts weren't good, I had to hand it back to him several times to fix. I still have the nasty email Todd sent me about closing. Do not go to him, that is all I have to say. YOU WILL SAVE YOURSELF, JUST GO TO A DIFFERENT LAWYER. If I could rate him as a zero, I would.
