MISLEADING

I came in with intention of possibly filing BK was in debt (but current with debts) and upside down on home. Was advised to file chap 13 instead of chap 7. Discussed 3 year repayment in meetings, but when I showed up to court was put on a five year repayment. He gave me reasons why he did that, bu...t regardless it was never discussed with me. He took my life matters into his own hands and did not seek my approval. This has left me unable to buy another home years longer than neccessary. I would think it is your obligation to keep your client fully informed of your intentions rather than have him show up in court completely shocked.

Although a three year plan may have been "discussed", it does not mean everyone is able to qualify for a three year plan. Further, if a person qualifies for a three year plan, it stil may not be recommended for numerous reasons. The main reason for a 5 year plan over a three year plan is because a much lower monthly payment is possible in a five year plan. Not only are these details discussed, they are thoroughly explained to each client before filing. The client also signs off on all documents and receives a copy of the plan well before filing and showing in court. Then, if a client wishes to shorten a plan, we can accomplish this if they qualify. I am uncertain as to the details of this client's case since written anonymously and there is no recollection of any clients expressing common issues as stated in the review.

SAVE YOURSELF AND YOUR HOME. NOT USE THIS ATTORNEY.

I was recommended to Mr. Nanna by more than one person. I put my family's home in his hands and he destroyed it. We sought his help in a home modification and after 3 years of going back and forth with the bank we got an excellent offer from the bank. Thank God, we thought. Well, after we signed pape...rs and we thought the modification was finally all set and done, we received a letter from the bank saying our house was going back on foreclosure sale. Totally confused we reached out to Tom to seek answers and all he could give us was a bunch of excuses. He withdrew the case from the court before settling an agreement with the bank (without advising us, the client) and did not send the bank offer documents signed by us to the bank in a property time frame. The bank told us they tried calling his office multiple times to remind Mr. Nanna that our grace period to turn in the required documents accepting the bank's offer was going to expired. The bank further told us that in one occasion Mr. Nanna's paralegal told the bank to "Never call their office again!". According to Mr. Nanna, he filed an emergency motion to reinstate our case and stop the foreclosure process but the judge denied it. We tried calling the bank ourselves to advise them that we had accepted their offer but the bank said we missed our grace period and the offer was no longer valid. Nanna then had the audacity to tell us we had to refile for bankruptcy, taking us back 3 years and tell us how much his attorney fee's were going to be to refile. I'm giving Mr. Nanna 1 star because for almost 3 years we thought we were in good hands but the mistake made by Thomas Nanna has put my family's home in jeopardy. A complaint to the Florida Bar is pending to follow.

This case was filed with the intent to stop client's foreclosure sale and obtain mortgage modification on a first mortgage which was over $30,000 in arrears. We successfully obtained a temporary loan modification and got client back on track with the mortgage. However, in order to obtain final court approval a/k/a confirmation, the second mortgage was to be paid by the client and payments were to be current which was never done. Therefore, the case was dismissed. We then attempted to reinstate the case after the client got the second mortgage current but the judge denied the request. This case was filed pro-Bono which means the client was not asked to pay any attorney fees. However, when it was recommended to file a new case by both the Judge and myself, we requested a very low fee. Unfortunately, this review was written immediately after the request for attorney fees in connection to re-filing a new case. Not sure why this client is stating that our office represented him for three years since the case was filed in 2016 and dismissed in 2017. Nevertheless, we sincerely wish this client and his family the best of luck.

Best Decision I've Ever Made

I was in desperate need and this lawyer was referred to me by a previous client. I wanted to try and save my home. He did exactly what he said he was going to do. He filed a chapter 13 for me, modified my mortgage and got rid of my second mortgage and my credit card debt. I am almost done with my... case and I know that this was the best decision I could have ever made.

I have trusted him for over 18 months with excellent results

My friend told me about Mr Nanna and his positive experrience.I contacted his office and one week after seeing him my bankruptcy case was filed.I was also facing a fourclosure,he handled that as well allowing me to stay in the house an additional 18 months before the bankers could go to court. I do... not know of any one law office that could handle my case as fast as he did. As an after thought, less than 30 days after filing for bankruptcy,I was in court and everything went as promised. I am very happy with his work and recommend him to all my friends when they get in situations like I was in.
