Tami Elizabeth Ratliff

I saw this Lady for a case. She booked 2 people same day and same time . We both walked in same time. She hurried me through, then told me she will charge 10k but will collect 4k as down-payment. I gave her my credit card, she charged 5k instead and did not give me a receipt. I immediately check...ed my card at home and discovered she took 5k. This makes me think twice and partly culminated in my telling her I do not want to proceed and wants my money back 3 days later. I opted to have her withdraw the case as part of the 2 options she gave. She did not mentioned anything about my refund. I contacted her again, and then again. She then told me my down-payment is nonrefundable. I asked for at least given me the extra 1k she took from my card, she said I don't remember saying 4k,...let me check...but did not get back to me. I contacted her again but she always try to divert conversation. She said I can only use the down-payment towards the case if I decide to proceed in the future. I asked for any signed document confirming such agreement since she never told me that payment is non -refundable. She is not sending me any document and our online conversation had miraculously disappeared. I can not even retrieve initial fillings and communications. I have contacted other attorneys and have been advised this is utterly wrong and unethical and I need to file complaint against her with the State. My 5k had gone after spending less than 30min with her. She has deep eye for your money .. be aware, you are warned.

Ms. Ratliff happened to be foolproof. Many military friends in the surrounding Abilene, Tx area use... her and now I definitely see why. I can’t go into detail about my case for confidentially reasons, but Ratliff is pure, very well trained with Texas, family law and clients. I was provided emotional support during a sorrowful and heartbreaking time. Ratliff’s fees were more than generous. Oh, and not let me forget I could reach her via text via email just about any time and it was beneficial for my work schedule in which she accommodated many different times seeing how buried in work she was herself with several other clients it always reassured me of everything that was going on That it was going to be OK and it was and did resolve WE WON, VICTORY AT LAST THIS PAST WEEK. I am forever thankful my life has changed forever now. Thank you for what you do and the lives you change including my drastically. God sent me to you, God bless what you do. This work was your calling and meant for you, I can’t imagine the lives you change daily. You are a true testimony. Thank you, again and again amen. You uphold way more way more than the internet says about you. You freaking rock!

At first, she was great filed all the needed motions and seemed very sure of herself. Until my husband hired his attorney which happened to be her mentor and I was told by a friend she was turned down by the same attorney because it would be a conflict of interest if she was opposing lawyer because '..." she taught her everything she knows" never mentioned to me only by my ex who was aware. She filed restraining orders and motions for him to pay me legal fees and spousal support due to the cheating and abuse. promises I would be reimbursed for all the repairs I had to make to our home that his renter/girlfriend caused. Never happened. I gave her so much evidence of domestic violence pictures and text and voicemails. She never used any of it. He never paid a dime of what I lost. She canceled every single hearing ever scheduled and there was like 5. Never even had to answer one question and turned the motion to enforce to get some of my money returned into the final hearing. Oh, and when I exited the elevator in the courthouse she was sitting and carrying on with his attorney and him and after she did absolutely nothing but con me, she stayed behind to chat with them some more after I left courtroom. Very embarrassing and I believe disrespectful to say the least. I paid all my own court costs, and she dropped the spousal support and restraining order first thing and she never even pulled a financial discovery to see what we had and was allowed to sell all our furniture and belongings we left in the home when we moved abruptly due to abuse. she also wrote special clauses in the divorce where all our debts were separate the day we separated. THATS IN NO WAY THE LAW. or in my best interest at all. I could go on and on at the mistakes and lack of interest in my situation and obviously had better things to do. She even offered to send an ac repair man to fix the ac that all the parts were lifted off of before I took possession of our home. Told me to bat my eyelashes at him and she would get me a deal. Anyway, she is a crappy lawyer and is lazy!!! Didn't lift a finger or even make a call I had to do it. She sent a few emails to her MENTOR that said let's get this one done and gone!! She sent that to me. PROMISES PROMISES!!!!BS!!!!Run!!!!!! And my ex actually recommended her to his friend in a cps case! Just WOW!

Tami Ratliff is by far the most incredible family law attorney In Abilene, TX and the surrounding areas!!! She is very interpersonal, on task and knows all the laws. Tami has amazing rates.
